There was overwhelming response to the 5 cat nite. Looks like we could have a great turnout of midwest cats for Saturday May 12th. We have a Cruise in scheduled at the Washington Square shopping center every Saturday night all summer long. If we have a midwest gathering of the POA what would you like to do? There is enough room for all the cars at the Saturday night cruise. I was thinking meeting at D*ck Clarks American Bandstand about 1:30 pm for lunch. ( I have to call and get more details, but they liked the idea) then a cruise around the lake as we cruise to Washington Sq., it is 29 miles the scenic route. I figure we would get to the mall about 4 ~ 4:30. Get settled in for the cruise in. The ladies can go shopping and we can look at cars and relax. [I also stopped by place on the lake, nice setting just off main body of water, this could be option too] D*ck Clarks had PT Cruiser meet there a few weeks ago, had radio coverage from the oldie station of their event. If anyone would want to cruise downtown or other location that could be done too. This is the 1st weekend of qualifications for the 500, would anyone be interested in staying over night and go to the track the next day. I know several have already said they would come, PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU WANT TO MEET FOR LUNCH & cruise the lake OR JUST THE CRUISE IN WHETHER YOU PLAN ON STAYING IN INDY SATURDAY NIGHT AND NEED A PLACE TO STAY HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL BE IN YOUR PARTY AN OTHER OPTION WOULD BE MEET AT MY HOUSE BEFORE CRUISE IN OR IF IT DOES HAPPEN TO RAIN TO HAVE get together AT MY HOUSE, I could get all the cats in the my drive or next door at my parents Everyone is welcome to come to the Friday night Cruise at Sams club or Saturday night at washington square, they are only 1/2 mile apart on east washington street in Indy ------------------ |

Larry, what lake are we cruising around? Sandy and I will be there Sat. for lunch and the cruise and the cruise-in but not staying over. Cincinnati area cats, 1:30 in Indy is 2:30 in Cincy so let's meet at I-74/I-275 and Rt. 128 (Miamitown). There is a Park and Ride lot at the bottom of the exit ramp. We can meet there at 12:30 and have plenty of time to make it to **** Clark's by 2:30. Let me know if that is okay or suggest something different if you can't make that. It is the first exit after 275 and 74 merge and the only exit between the two splits. |

Ed, I did not think about Brenda....I'll try to talk to her next week. I'm getting the impression she is not into group gatherings. I'll let you know. Are there any Cruises or gatherings in Cincy between now and the 12th. I'd like to get out and show off the Kat ------------------ |

Richard, glad you can make it. Andy, Lee Fischer was the Woodward on Opening Day. I am not sure that is the right spelling of his last name. The Park & Ride lot is at the bottom of the ramp, on the left. See everyone there at 12:30. |

Ohio Cats coming up I-74 They have the exit for I-74 to north bound 465 closed. if you do get separated from the group, exit I 74 at Post road and go north to I 70. west on I 70 then north on 465 to Keystone follow other directions I would like to meet the group and you can follow me. Maybe at state road 9 and I 74 D*ck Clark's is located on east 86th street just east of Keystone Ave. at Keystone at the Crossing shopping center on the Northeast side of Indy. 465 is the loop around the city exit 465 onto Keystone and go SOUTH, exit onto 86th street less than 1 mile, east on 86th street about 1/2 mile American Bandstand Grill Phil or Larry could you lead the group in off I 70? Meet with Larry Bell in New Castle maybe. This message has been edited by WildCat on 04-25-2001 at 07:49 PM |

Wildcat, That works for me to lead in from I70. As of now planning on meeting up with Steve Clark and any other Prowlers he can bring along from Columbus(OH) as they come thru Richmond. Suggest that we set radio channel for this event - perhaps Channel 5 / sub 12. Along that line, noticed BestBuy has Motorola Talkabout for <$50 this week. Also could consider having email of cell phone #'s to allow contact. ------------------ |

OK FOLKS, I called D*ck's place and here is the plan Meet at D*ck Clark's at 1:30 to 2:00 on May 12th, We will eat lunch from the regular menu, (so john you can have prime rib if you like) My guess we will finish and start to the cruise in by 4:00. It is 29 miles when I test drove the route I have planned. I figure alittle over 1 hour drive time, unless you would like to stop by the lake (Geist) for Kodak Moment. We will end up at the Saturday night cruise in at Washington Square around 5pm We will have an area resevered for us to park in. ------------------ |

Larry, are you going to meet us on I-74 or just give me detailed directions. How far is it from Sam's Club? Either way is fine, I think I can find it if you give me directions. |
