After Tucson Jer had to replace his transmission cooler lines I found a video and the guy says these people will make them for you. Just passing it along.

I thought you already had a set Jer. Some prowler parts are getting hard to find and what better place to archive this than here.

What happened that made you realize these lines needed replacement? Is it an age related issue or a known potential failure point?

Edit: just saw another post from Jer in this same forum that explains why he needed this fix - it was damage from hitting the road. If I can do my road trip to do a video with Jer we will definitely want to mention this risk and how to get it replaced.

I called them this morning and apparently they didn’t keep the information on how to make the hoses. They told me if I sent them my old ones they could make new ones. As soon as I get back all the parts from the broken one from the dealer I will send them what I have and see what happens. 😕

Tried to make contact with Zachary but was unsuccessful. Talked to Tubes N Hoses again today and they need a set of lines to make new one and said Zachary was adamant about keeping his originals. Decided to look for another shop that could do it and low and behold I found out we have a Tubes N Hoses right here in Tucson! Guess I’ll be paying them a visit in the near future. 🥳

FYI - I have seen 2 different style cooler hose connections to the trans cooler. I think later models, 2000+ use o-ring connectors while ealier years do not.

Thank you Tony, are the o-ring connections on both ends of the hose or just the end that attaches to the cooler? Type your text here

One last post on this topic. I talked to Zachary Stallings tonight via Instant Messenger. He told me his Prowler is a 1999, so after Tony’s post about the O-rings on Prowlers 2000 and newer, the lines he had made didn’t have them. He did say he was going to take his used lines back to Tubes & Hoses and drop them off so if anyone else wasn’t a set they can get them made there. He also said they charged $150 for the ones he got. This is just FYI incase anyone needs trans cooler lines. Jer
