I have several sets in stock ready to be shipped to you. I had to slightly increase to cost by $5 to offset the higher metal prices (I assume increased trade tariffs). |

So, in expectation of needing a complete new system, I stripped out my old (brand new) arms. Apart from the boots, they are pristine. They even look brand new once cleaned up. I washed out all the old grease, prised off the old boots, removed the silicone residue and checked for smooth action. All good. I now need new boots and grease. I hope to find these at my local stores. Or something I can adapt. I'm striving to keep the look (OEM) with only perished (replacements) bellows being added. I think I can do it. The range of motion is very limited, the duty cycle is low, so a little grease and some boots should work. |

Polished arms with rose joints add bling and functionality and I'll buy them for that reason. But, maybe, our old arms are not past their sell-by date? |

I think Dick Linnemann found something. I had gotten a message from him about a month ago with a picture attached but when I tried to open it, it disappeared. I forgot all about it until I just read that last post. I will attempt to ask him what it was all about, if I can remember to. |

Well, I'm now officially at a standstill. It is impossible to get the boots locally IMHO. There are perfect items available from Bulgaria with a long delivery time: https://polyboots.com/ I've ordered some closeout items from RockAuto that might work but it's a long shot. I'm going to order from PolyBoots just to prove the source and quality but the entire effort is just time wasted. Summit Racing was my last attempt today and they were less than helpful or enthusiastic even though I visited the store. It's not over yet but it sure is a losing battle. Spoons solution looks really good now! |

The PolyBoots are on the way. I found what might be an even better solution if, like me, you found that your Heim joints were good but just needed lube and protection. If these work, and at the price, they might be a really good alternative to a full replacement: https://www.3sx.com/rubber-boot-cover-for-spherical-heim-joint-rod-ends-on-control-arms I've ordered the 1/2" version. Once I get the parts I'll post some images and hints about what I found during strip and assembly. This message has been edited by ZuluProwler on 03-06-2020 at 05:16 PM |

Blowout #1: As predicted, the RockAuto parts were nothing like what was shown on the website so that's a dead end. Chalk up $20 to the science experiment. Now waiting on the PolyBoots and the 3SX Heim joint cover. Perhaps that'll be more successful. Blowout #2: The 3SX 1/2" boots would work but are too small. I've pulsed them to give me dimensions before I try again, if at all, using the 3/4" versions. That makes $40 in the name of science so far!
