For the past couple of months, I have been experiencing some AM radio noise and a random misfire engine code on my 2002 Prowler. After some research, I found that the Prowler engine has 2 ignition capacitors which are located on each side of the engine block. I picked up 2 of these at the Chrysler distributorship. Mopar #04606866AA @ about $14 each. The 2002 Service Manual, page 8I-4 shows the locations and removal/installation procedure. After replacement, the radio noise along with the random misfire code have stopped. I have also noticed an increase in mileage and acceleration. |

Before the fix, did the noise in the radio get loader as the rpm's increased? |
