That Fuel Filter link is actually a link for the Fuel Pump Filter (Sock) that goes on the end of the Fuel Picket in the Fuel Pump Module inside the Gas Tank. The Prowler Fuel Filter is actually part of the Fuel Delivery Hoses that attach to the top of the Fuel Pump Module.
If you open your Trunk, roll the Crapet back, you'll expose an about 10" square cover bolted to the Trunk Floor. This is the access to the Fuel Pump Module. Unbolt it from the floor and pull it off, then you can see what I'm describing.

Is all the stuff I posted useless.
I was just googling stuff and they popped up.
Thought best to post and go from there.
I noticed and inside fuel pump on the PSWS. Only 45or49$
But no hoses.

Does anyone know why they used 3 lines instead of two?

This may be the answer to my own question.
http://www.moparchat.com/forums/showthread.php?t=123991

The small line is a vapor return line to the tank. This tends to help prevent vapor lock.

The pic that you posted 20 minutes ago is of the same item I would have taken a pic of.. But, I can still get you a Part Number, 4865360AA. Good luck with your hunt.
Another number, specifically for the '99, someone might just have it in Inventory is 4725433AA. The first number I listed probably supercedes the '99 number.

I tried hard to get an inside-the-truck fuel filter and failed to find anything. The tech and I even considered using a Dodge Caravan filter, but it would not fit correctly with the fuel lines as they are. He did not want to modify them for fear of creating a leak.

The concern I have is that if any of the serial fuel filters have poor flow through, the car's performance would suffer. This filter in my car was full of black particulate, noted on backflushing to "clean" it. I believe that the part should be replaced, if I can ever locate a new one.

I did check with the Prowler Store, and they said no chance would there be any in the pipeline - no pun intended.

I will continue looking and let everyone know if I locate a source for filters.

Robin.not sure about fuel line maybe someone else can answer if it's a specific product or you can craft your own lines.

Robin, the part number for the fuel filter (MOPAR Part # 4897416AB) used in the RockAuto.com link posted above is not one that I have seen for the filter I believe we are referring to in this post. The original 1999 number is 4725433AA, and was superceded by the number 4865360AA as noted above. The latter number was for 00 - 02 Prowlers. Does anyone else know if we are talking about the same part?

I searched RockAuto.com for the numbers 4865360AA and 4725433AA, and neither are available from them.

alustiza,

I ran both part numbers 4865360AA and 4725433AA through the www.factorychryslerparts.com search, and neither are available from that site. FYI, Parts.com lists them, but doesn't have any to sell.

If you click on the Fuel Pump and Sending Unit, on the Chrysler Parts website, It takes you to another page where item 3 is listed as Filter Kit for about $35.00. I do not know if this is the item you are looking for, but it is listed as a filter kit. Let us know if this is what you are thinking is the part.
