Been doing some research into different radio possibilities.
Have seen the Isimple unit that attaches to the cd player and the head units with the fold out screens. Those are good alternatives but not really what I have been looking for.

Came across ISimples newest product Tranzit Blue HF. It hooks into the FM antennae and offer hands free access to your Apple/Android phone

Here is a link to their operational video http://vimeo.com/73328280

Curious to hear comments

I am running the isch72 and love it. I plan on gritting the viseeO wma1000 that is a bluetooth adapter to 30 pin connector.

This looks like the FM modulator units that wander off station as you travel. I had one and it was really never very useful. Is this different?

This plugs onto the cable that goes to CD player. Select cd on the radio and your iPhone ,iPod is then controlled by steering wheel buttons! Great! You don't have to remove CD player but you can't use both, unless you unplug isch72 and plug disk player back in.

mslc10,

I have a couple of questions for you, if you have time...

I have a iSimple (corded FM transmitter version) in my Excursion, and the cord has a short from plugging/unplugging iPhones. I'm guessing the i72 is corded as well, but a person shouldn't run into this issue as you plug in the WMA1000 and shouldn't ever have to really move it?

Second question, I also have a iSimple (Bluetooth FM transmitter) in my Prowler which works fine, BUT, it always takes 15'ish seconds to synch to my iPhone, so when I start the car, if the Radio is set to my FM transmitter station (89.5), I get 15-30 seconds of semi-loud static, while the iPhone/Bluetooth receiver synch/start transmitting music/enable the transmitter. (Basically there is a built in delay in the transmitter, where it does not transmit until it has a signal).

So, with all of that said (and having been in newer cars where you sit down, start the car and your streaming music immediately), does the Tune2Air WMA1000 handle this better (immediately starts streaming music)?

AND thanks for the time!

My daughter showed me how her FM-Tuner pluged into the Prowler let her play music from her I-Phone.

The quality seemed to be lacking, and wondering if you actually get true stero with this ?

"YELLER CAT" recently installed this in our cat.

Our ISCH72 is a perfect companion... hard wired (plug 'n play) into the audio system eliminating the CD changer, but that was our intention... why do you need a CD changer with an iPOD or iPAD installed containing 1,000s + songs??? The steering wheel controls, Seek, Pause and Volume work as designed... the ONLY way to go, keeping the OEM system and wiring in tact. Overview... CD changer is replaced with a computer Hard Drive... depending on the iPOD or iPAD used, your capacity is up to 160GB... that's a lot of entertainment!!!

Hi the tune2air is immediate! One problem I have found is that it never powers down as long as it's plugged onto the I simple. No big deal just unplug when your done cruising. Other problem is radio goes to fm when you start the car. No big deal just hit mode once and your playing again! Map voice comes thru radio too!
There are cheaper versions of wma1000 but they don't do the steering wheel functions so if selecting a track or song is not important you can save a lot of money........search 30 pin bluetooth reciever in eBay or Amazon.
Hope that answered your questions!

Isch72 is direct using( replacing) the cd changer.

mslc10,

Love it I installed the Chrysler iSimple with the Tune2Air as above and very clean install, all of 5 minutes. plugging into CD player extension cord (behind passenger seat), and then Tune2Air into the iSimple.

CAUTION: As mentioned above, I have a corded iSimple in my Excursion, and the cord has shorted (from continuous plugging/unplugging). I would suspect the same thing would happen if plugging/unplugging the Tune2Air (to turn the Tune2Air off, as it stays powered even with key off). I'm going to try leaving it plugged in during the driving/summer months and then just remove during storage, and see how hard it impacts the battery while plugged in... )

thanks mslc10 for the info/details!

Just wanted to add my 2 cent worth

Went with the Isimple kit from the link above and worked as advertise.
Went a different module and purchased a "Bright" Blue Tooth wireless module from Amazon. The cost was only $20.99 which was considerably less than the Tune2Air. The units work great together with no problems

Here is the link for anyone that might be interested.

Thanks for the lead and the info mslc10

Did the bright module give you control of advancing thru songs by the steering wheel?

I have been reading the Tune2Air reviews on Amazon and evidently the newer iPhone 6 does not work well with this device and tech support is poor as is sound quality on the iPhone 6.

I just installed the tune2air and the ISCH72. Took longer to walk out to the car than to install. Works fine as an MP3 player, I can stream Pandora. Only issue there is that you can't just skip to any station that you have in Pandora. You have to look at the phone to do it. The controls do skip the playing tune though so it's doing what it's supposed to do. Still, I'm happy now. I just need to tweak my MP3 playlists and I should be set.

I think the 6 May have higher audio output that may put tune 2 air into distortion...? Not sure. 5 works just fine,

I read something today about how it ( or another bt device) shos up when you pair it? It may show up as a " hands free " or a " speaker" . When you can choose select speaker ( full range) vs hansfree( limited frequency range for clarity in speech) . This article said iOS was luck of the draw since it picks for you??? Dunno ios8 or something... My recommendation is delete and pair again , maybe it will choose " speaker" on the 2nd time pairing. Just a thought....

Oh btw this is a powerful bluetooth that stays powered as long as it is connected to 30 pin connector.if powered up in your garage it WILL play havoc if you are trying to connect to another device at home! Just fyi..
