Just got a prowler last weekend and have been enjoying it ever since. The only issue with the car is the voltage gauge is pegged all the way up past 18v. I checked the output at the alternator and battery while running and its only showing 13.2 at idle when the gauge is showing 18v+. I'm thinking it a bad ground somewhere. Can someone provide me either a wiring diagram for the gauges and or car or the location of the grounds on the car? |

most likely a bad gauge,i doubt if its a ground,a prowler has about 7 different grounds, you will have to find them.i think theres 4 grounds in frt and 3 in the rear.dont be surprised if its discontinued.4883176-gauge-since there expensive id track down the real problem first. ------------------ |

Help! While driving home my voltage dropped from the normal 14 volts to 11. Car ran fine for the next hour. had the battery checked and it was weak at 10.5 volts so I replaced it. Voltage returned to 14 for about a minute and then dropped back to 11.5. Sounds like alternator. Anyone replaced one? I want to consider doing it myselfsincde dealer here is questionable. Thanks |
