I see several kits on ebay for the Prowler. Said to add power and economy. Are these any good, has anybody used them ? I think some were only around $20-$30 ? |

Stay away from all, as the FACTORY has done all it could to get the max performance from a STOCK Prowler... onecatnodog |

A V-8 Hemi will cost you $60k, because the Prowler's CPU (16-bit) does not match the new motors (64-bit) CPU. Installing the Hemi is not a mechanical problem it's a computer/electrical issue. If you don't want your dash to look like a Christmas Tree then you'll need lots of dinero ($$$$$$) This message has been edited by spoons on 05-23-2008 at 04:26 PM |

How much additional cooling is necessary with a 4.3 or larger and any other electronics piggy backed somewhere? Just curious how stealthy the stroker install is from the standpoint of maintaining a close to stock look in the engine compartment and passenger area. |

a person here in az just had a 4.3 stroker by westech done,i asked him what they did to keep it from overheating, nothing.westech tells him it wont.bull,if a 3.5 in 110 degree weather all most overheats his will.as for the hemi if you leave the a/c off, might not.a bigger rad.is a waste of money.already been there.useless, youre trying to cool 2 times as much coolant wont work.the only thing that will help is to slant the top of the rad back.mines 3 inches, but no more room.if you want more, you will have to do major up frt structual changes.good luck.if you look at avette the rad is slanted way back from vertical, for more air flow over the fins. ------------------ |
