We had a bad storm with high winds last week and it looks like it's caused the rear window in the convertible top to start separating from the rest of the top. Is there something I can do personally to fix that? How was it attached originally? I don't want the window to fly out while I'm driving down the road.

if the glass is coming loose from the top, youre screwed, there is no way to repair it.its elctronically welded, whatever that means.i had a top that had the same problem, sorry not repairable.needs new top.when you buy a top,do not buy a/m,yes less money but lacks some quality.i made the mistake of buying a electron top never again.i'll spend more money and go chrysler.the glass is actually heat welded,i tried a couple of things to repair it which didn't work.talked to my glass shop, the best in az,if not the country and he said same thing.no fix.good luck.turn it in to your ins. as storm damage.top and labor installed about 1800.00.

My back window came unglued all the way around the outside in one day.The top became real baggie and caught my eye.I used some stuff call Amazing Goop automotive contact adhesive and sealant.I put it in a 10ml syringe and ran a small bead all the way around.works real fast and I did`t scrape off the old stuff. No leaks no problems.

jj,that stuff really worked and the glass hasnt come out?
i've tried alot of stuff, nothing worked.as you most likely noticed the piece inside the top that the glass is bonded to is so slippery nothing wants to stick to it.where did you buy that stuff.

JJ and Jan, I used the same stuff on the top and it was only seperated on the right side and about 10 inches around the right side bottom. The stuff lasts about a year and a half and then needs to be redone, at least here in sunny Flori-DUH. I do have a top that was removed from a Prowler with 200 miles back in 2002 and no frame if you need help.
