My turn signal and the 4way hazzard is not working, same with the turn signal dashboard signs. The fuse Nr. 5 is OK. Maybe I blow the turn signal relai. I can not locate the relai. ( Its not working, so it does not make any flash noises that I can lissen where it is) Can someone tell me where I can find the turn signal/hazzard relai in the Prowler ??? Is it a special Prowler Relai or can I get it from the aftermarket shops ?? Greetings , Condor" |

Clock spring in the steering column. |

Its not the clockspring. The clockspring works the buttons on the steering wheel and air bag. Mine is broke but horn still works and the blinkers and flasher still work. Stay with checking the relay first. ------------------ |

According to manual page 8l-6 it is a non reparable part. You have to remove the steering wheel panel under dash. Also it is a very specific part. Condor I would really seek a manual to read before you do this job. Tom |

Ok; I like to try the turn-signal relais at frist. To understand, is the relais also under the Steering wheel behind the plasic cover ( two lower scews , then pull it off) ? ? ? ? ? ? ? |

No. It looks like it is the half cover under the steering wheel. But again, the book says you cannot test it unless you have a known good relay to use as a replacement. The relay is called a combination relay and is very specific to the car. Go slow and think about what you are doing. If I can help PM me. |

Condor, the combination relay is blue in color and is taped to the steering wheel wire harness above the lower steering panel. |

Yes, I found it . I went to our Downtown Frankfurt Chrysler Dealer. Sure, he did not have it, but he ordered it, and maybe its in Tomorrow. So , If I can get it I TRY the new turn signal realy tomorrow. I hope that this was my problem . If it was not the fuse, or not the relay, then I´m in trouble. Thanks for the quick help, POA is the best forum and very professional . I keep you updatet on Sunday. |

Wow, just caught this thread. Had something similar happen to me. There could be another fuse that can cause your problem. There is usually one fuse that protects the control circuit(relay) and another to protect the load circuit(lights). Check both inside fuses and under drivers engine panel fuses. |

Thanks for your help . I put the new relay in and I had to replace a 15" fuse in the main power fuse box. (behind left side engine panel ). The fuse nr 5 ( left side Dashboard)for turn signal + hazzard was ok. Now everything is back to normal. |
