Not hard to guess what the POOLKAT does for a living. I know what some of us do but not all. I thought it might be good to share what we all do or what we used to do that enable or enabled us to get our Kats. Here are some links that show what I have been up to and how I make a living. www.totalpoolandspallc.com Total Pool & Spa LLC Facebook page. www.houzz.com/pro/total/_public ------------------ |

I am a Certified Professional Locksmith per the standards of the Associated Locksmith's Association of America. I started working as a Locksmith in the late '70's but have also worked auto parts and held an ASE Parts Counter Certification until recently. One of the area's I did not keep up with within the Locksmith field has been Automotive related as it seems to have become a specialty within the industry. I do have the ability to do some "Bench work" like re-keying the locks on Prowler trailers to match the key for the car and typically have the tools and parts needed to do this as a service for the owners at events I attend. A crane operator for 26 yrs., the last 21, operating and climbing for a billboard company. Had a fear of heights for a couple of weeks when I started climbing boards, it's now like walking on the ground but with a much better view, one most don't get (or want) to experience, but some boards being 220' to 260' above Hollywood can give incredible sunrises |

4 years in the Air Force, retired from IBM and still working full time. I worked at IBM a total of 37 years. 25 years as a regular employee and was then offered a bridge to retirement. I did not really have a choice as the writing was on the wall my job was going away. However I never missed a day of work and worked 12 years more years at IBM in a different department as a contract employee, but at a much reduced salary and no benefits. My contract employee job was eventually outsourced to Brazil. One of the IBM Business partners I supported while I worked as a contract employee offered me a job and I am going on 7 years now working full time for them. The company is located in Deerfield IL. and I work from my home in GA. I coordinate all the business with IBM. Ive been either in the military or working for a total 46 years now. I am just 1 month shy of 67 years old now and hope to fully retire in 3 to 5 years. My job title is administrative customer support rep. I'm a door-to-door gynecologist/vacuum cleaner salesman. I go up to the house,.... hide my Electrolux in the shrubbery and ring the doorbell..... If the lady of the house is good looking, I sell her on the advantages of door-to-door gynecology.....but.... If a 475 lb gal that looks like a sumo wrestler comes to the door I quickly grab the sweeper from the bushes and say "You wanna buy a vacuum cleaner"?
