Unfortunately there isn't much that can be done about the anchor babies born here,,,,,but their illegal parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins need to be deported,,and most likely the brat kids will follow them back to the promised land of Mexico or Central America .

I have nothing against those American Hispanics who have obtained U.S. citizenship,,,,who work and pay taxes for a better life in the USA for themselves and their families. The rest, illegals, are law breakers..........many of which are a detriment to our culture, education system, labor force, and our economic stability.

Totally agree AC ... and with that photo on the cover, take away their free and reduced meals, free bus, and ESL teachers/resources from the classroom and see how long they wish to stay once pappy and clan have hit the other side of the Great Wall of Trump.

I almost don't believe the question, assuming you are American. Yes you are American, no can you also claim to be from Oz leagally that depends on the laws in Oz.

How does anyone expect kids to be able to see this from alogical point of view. All they know is they and there entire family may have to up and leave the only place the kids have even known.

I'm far from in favor of people jumping the boarder, but to answer this topic kids are kids.

I can only respond with this: I have a cousin (via marrige) that came here via tourist visa, they both over stayed their visa set up shop and had a child here. However that child is not recognized with any particular rights nor is he a citizen. He does get free medical care (which is a blessing for them and a burdon for us) and an education, but little else. An attorny advised them that if the parents got deported the child has no legal right to stay here.

“Birthright citizenship”, in simple terms means persons born on American soil may claim American citizenship. It is estimated that nearly 200,000 children are born in the US annually to foreign women admitted as visitors (tourists, students, guest workers) and other non-immigrant categories." (I believe this also means crossing the border by any means possible)

Simple......if born in the U.S. and they have a issued birth certificate = they are considered an American citizen.
