Marc - where did you see the Rambler? I talked with Bob's engine guy and Bob, but they didn't tell me I could see pics!

Bob doesn't know how to post pictures, so I'm doing it for him. His Rambler is a 1969 Hurst SC/Rambler (also known as a Rambler Scrambler). Bob bought the car from a friend of mine and it had been in storage and not driven in 15 years. The car is in Wisconsin and is having a new motor built for it. It will be a 390 with modern components including new aluminum cylinder heads. The target is 550 hp and 550 lb. ft. torque on pump gas. The car weighs just over 3000 lbs. and has 4.44 gears. He's hoping that it will get out of its own way!! LOL!

Here are some recent photos that were taken at the old AMC Proving Grounds near Kenosha, WI. Notice the AMC hedge in the last picture! Not all of the graphics and badging are back on the car yet.

Nice pictures CJ, those wheels look like American Racing Torque Thrust II wheels, I don't remember those being on the car stock.

I would love the expression on the face of a few people in the next lane after you leave them with their jaws dropped open!

One of my classmates in High School had a new 69 AMX. (His Dad owned a American Motors Dealership) It was a bright green color with black stripes. It was fast, the faster ANC car I had ever been in - but not 550 HP fast!

Bob should have a great time at Woodward next year!

Al,

The wheels are a polished set of American 200s' and are 17"x7". I have a set of 15"x8" coming for the street drag radials.

Ed - I see what you mean! I also notice that you and I haven't ordered one of these units. Probably because Ed and I can't even understand the computer we are looking at,,,,,let alone a smaller one on the dash, lol. I'd like to order one but got to thinking I wouldn't figure out how to use it,,,,thus causing me to lose to Ed's PT at the drags. For those of you who can operate and program the VCR/DVD without problems, its looks like a super buy

Bob - could the Scrambler replace the "ISCREAM" in the DC parking lot? lol If Jerry hears about 550hp, he'll get back to work on the Casper Cat!

12/4 update: Called G-Tech today. They advised that their V2.0 software is late. They expected to ship ours this past Monday. They claim they will be ready to ship next Monday and will call me to confirm that they have shipped. The new software is what we viewed at SEMA and worth waiting for.

I have held everyones check and will not cash them until I ship. We have shipping boxes and labels ready to send them right out upon receipt.

I have everyone's checks except:

Rick Beyes
Fred Croati
Neal Bardens
Mike Krehel
John Koonce
Joe Ellsasser

If it's in the mail, great, if you haven't sent it, please do.

Bob Longstreth
29 Cross Creek Blvd
Rochester Hills, MI 48306

Any issues, please call me at 248-650-3321 or e-mail: boblongstreth@comcast.net

Just talked to G-Tech. They have the 2.0 software and promised to ship tomorrow. They are shipping me 21, so everyone that inquired will be able to get one from the initial order. They estimate five days UPS. I will turn them around as soon as I receive them. Sorry for the delays.

Hey Mark, you might want to keep the results to yourself, look what happened when I mentioned my HP results.. hehehe

I know when I use my G-Tech it will only be discussed with my Kat.
