Thanks Pat good stuff.
I was wondering though, I have talked to a few Prowler owners about the wear on the back of the top, and as noted in video seems common.
However, what is not mentioned, and would like feedback on, are the straps that are supposed to secure the top when down.
Seems logical this would keep the top from jostling around when down, and it is likely most Prowler owners do not attach them.
Would love some feedback if you guys are using them or not.

Yes, I use the straps, but not when I first got the car. CJ and Bob Longstreth (POA names: CJ and RPL) who live nearby me, and were the first to reach out to me after I joined the POA, highly recommended I use them to help prevent the top from rubbing on the underside of the trunk lid. They have a lot more experience (they own 3 Prowlers and had some involvement during its production) so I trust their suggestions. I think I mentioned the straps in my Part 5 video.

THanks for the feedback Pat.
It might have been your video that I saw them mentioned in.

I can definitely see people not wanting to waste time with the straps, but they were put there for a reason, and obviously can see what happens over time if you don't use them.

There's another convertible top wear area that some Prowler owners have experienced.

Below is TSB.

Personally don't believe this is cause of wear point unless you are truly folding top improperly.
More likely not tying down straps causes top to bounce around and hit underside of trunk.

If you keep top down most of the time, be aware straps will work themselves loose over time.
Give them a tug once in a while.

I use the straps 100 percent of the time. I also place a cloth coverIng the top at the latch area.

I also place a cloth over folded top as BeWare mentioned.

Another pinch point is were trunk latch area touches top.

Pat
I just wanted to thank you for all of your efforts to help the Prowler community. Your videos are very professional. I think in time your efforts will pay off. If you do ever get to Arizona, please look me up.
I haven't had the nitrous on in a while and am getting a little anxious.
Check out the TV series Night Man's ride.

Pat, I just watched your video and there are plenty of places in your area that can straighten your bent Prowler wheels. Here is one I found.

I can't believe you have made 24 videos in such a short time.

Hey Pat!
New Prowler owner here.
Thanks for doing these videos. They’ve allowed me to be much more knowledgeable about the Prowler before I bought it. And I’ve done some things that you suggested in the videos since my purchase in July. Thanks so much!

My top has those 2 holes in it. My fault I didn't use the straps and it happened quick, not holes just rub marks but it makes me crazy!!
