I wish I would have been as smart as you. I would feel a lot better if I had a couple of sitting around. |

So we can all see that this is a priority. Because now his car is basically garage art. And the way it looks right now is that others will follow. I'm sure there are other owners out there that aren't aware of the ball joint problem(s) and wouldn't think to be. We all wish that we would have ordered several spare extra recall kits. But it looks to me like all that was going to accomplish was FCA running out of stock that much sooner. Hopefully Rare Parts will have the samples and we will have info ASAP. As soon as I get info from Glen I will relay to everyone. But for those who will need them right now, you might as well clean and wax your car to the max. It won't be going anywhere! |

A couple of things jumped out at me. When I tried to order a ball joint, they needed the VIN. The dealer told "the computer" that I was looking for a spare part, just in case. I wonder if there are some in the system, but they won't sell them to folks who have already had the recall completed. If the guy who just had his towed to the dealer gets his replaced, like he was told, that means there really are some in the system. The dealer told me he never had to send an email requesting a part, prior to this. Just something to add to the mix. I certainly hope a solution is found in the near future. Thanks again for all you are doing. |

Ed I ordered a set here a while back and this particular dealer said we can't sell a recall over the counter to you . I said well my boot is ripped can you at least replace them . So they installed them. I then called a dealer out of town and they had no issue with selling me them. I had order several sets until they ran out. Never required a vin. So if you can find any still out there it really is up to the dealer if he will give them up. I think if Godfather calls and states he needs a set of ball joints with accompanying photo they might look a little harder for him. |

Godfather got turned down since the recall had been completed. I wonder if a class action lawsuit would get the ball rolling? The cars are useless without the critical part(s) being available. Hopefully Rare Parts will bail us out. |

I will go way out on a limb here, when they become available, the P S price will go UP. Just a guess. |

I will double that and climb on the same limb and suggest they're in contact with rare parts and negotiating to buy our new ball joint and setting a 1000 dollars per ball joint msrp |
