Hello my old friends! (No, not age old, time old) I recently saw an ad for Top Coat F11 and wondered if anyone here had tried it and could compare it to ProtectAll. It is much more expensive than ProtectAll but it claims to last 3-6 months. Thank you! Cliff ------------------ |

It has been decades since I used Protect All on anything. Too many better products out there. I use Eagle One Nanowax for a superb, easy shine. Turtle Wax Ice is the same thing and produces an unbelievable shine that is easy and fast. |

I have been waxing the motorhome since we got here on 1/1. A little at a time, about 4 or 5 coats on it now and it is starting to have somewhat of a shine, FINALLY. The fiberglass seems to really soak it up. I tried some ProtectAll and I couldn't even tell I used it, way back at the beginning. In defense of Protectall, nothing seemed to make a dent until about the 3rd or 4th coat. I am using Meguiar's Marine & RV 50. I bought two gallons of it. I have a tiny amount left in the first gallon. I will attempt to use some Protectall on it when I get home to see if it works, AFTER it being coated quite a bit. |

To Ed Monahan. Ed, when I had my motorhome(fibreglas sided) it was oxidized in some places. I tried several things to remove oxidation and create a shine. Finally I found a product called RV TECH. It is made for fibreglas and it works. If your rig is not oxidized you use the yellow formula. If slightly oxidized you use the pink formula. It has a slight amount of grit in it that removes the oxidation. For more oxidized rigs you use the green formula, more grit. This stuff works and leaves a shine that lasts. I always used a power buffer It cost approx $25 a quart. A quart goes a long way. I know you can find it online. Now they have a newer product, Oxidation Remover. It is clear. You paint it on the oxidized area, let it sit for awhile and hose it off. It removes all oxidation fast with no rubbing. |

Thanks for the tip. I should have asked that question a couple of months ago. It wasn't oxidized, but didn't have any shine to it at all. It is looking fairly decent at this point. I will see how this holds up. The inside of it was fine but the outside needed some TLC, for sure. Thanks again. |
