The Prowler makes you smile. Why? Because it's focused. It has a plot, a reason for being, a passion. It evokes the hot rod. It evokes the American Dream. This car is the human psyche.

Carlos, did you get goosebumps?

I remember the first time I drove my Prowler.
I came home from work on the first spring day and it was 70 degrees outside and when I saw my wife I said, "Lets go", she said where are we going, I said we are taking the Prowler out, then I said it again, "Lets go". So we hurried to the garage and she went to start it up and the battery was dead. I told her to plug in the charger earlier in the week but she didn't so I jumped it and away we went. We got down the road 300 feet and the low tire warning came on, after blaming her for not plugging in the battery charger, I didn't check the tires either.
Now we joke about it but we will never forget our first time driving the Prowler.

Cheers Gort... The Plate is blacked out because I haven't completed transferring the registration to the Prowler yet. The proper plate is in the windscreen!!! its hardly visible and probably illegal but what the hell, you gotta get arrested for something!!!

Best one of the week, yesterday when me and the GF were driving around, she said "wow, I feel like I'm a movie star or something, everybody is looking at us and taking pictures"

That put a smile on my face, she was clearly loving the attention

update on my experience, I am getting much more confident with the car, it's becoming a much more pleasant drive, have an issue of it having trouble to start warm, but we will fix that, and I still have a hard time with the fact I have no idea where exactly on the road my front right wheel is, but the more I drive it, the better it gets !

I have the same problem here, I guess it doesn't matter what side of the road you drive on. Lol

NullMind....Hard starting when warm is a fairly common problem with Prowler era Chrysler products......It is generally caused by a failing fuel pump that produces good fuel pressure when cold but low pressure when hot. Have someone test the fuel pressure (both when cold, then when hot) It's a fairly easy fix to replace it and DIY will save you a bunch...

Good luck and post the solution when you find it....(Please post it in the "Technical" section).....Others will benefit and appreciate it!

BTW.....Another possible cause is a bad fuel injector but I would check the pump first..

Just be careful to where the front is is and stop before you curb the nose when parking

As far as the hard to start warm, classic fuel pump issue. Tom Mills at JEFFERSON Auto (main page vendor) has the fix

Changed mine several years ago and no issues since

Took the hardtop out this Saturday, I must say, I probably really need a windsurpressor ... still prefer the hardtop look but it was fun to drive with the top down

Still need to install the red door inserts

Will be showing the cars, Sunday is open to the public and to display from 10:00am. I meet the other Prowler owner the other day at a different show, he said he was taking his to the NASC on Sunday so I said I would catch up with him there.
Would be great to catch up with you, even better if you bring the Prowler

Happy Prowlin'
My wife and I have had our Prowler less than a year in Southern California and we get hoots and thumbs up all the time.
It is quite amazing.
I'm sure this car has been posted to Facebook countless times.

We love this car and hope you keep having fun.
Thanks for posting your story.

Carlos, just out of curiosity, was your Prowler in the condition you thought it would be in?

What about the gap below the headlight?
