Gents,

This should probably go into the Replacement Part or Technical section of the board but it's good to know and saves
a bundle:

I had an issue with somebody hitting me on the passenger side and my inner tie rod was bent. When scanning several dealer sites they could only supply me a complete steering rack (appr. 1600 US$).

I found the POA message of David with the reply of ivegotsugar and decided to give the Sebring/Stratus tie rod's a try.

I ordered them at a dealer locally and they supplied me the replacements of MOOG Steering Tie Rod part # MR519046

The shaft itself is slightly thicker (not the end's they are exactly the same) so you need 2 to keep the car symetric and you have to paint them but all in all a very cheap, direct replacement and easy fix !!
(and yes, while at the job anyway I replaced the tie rod ends also)

Keep this in mind when you are in desperate need for them.

Best regards,

Kees

Excellent Post - I have used the part# and ordered a pair to see if my chroming guy can get them sparkled up. Also good news that I don't have any problem getting smaller parts shipped to UK for reasonable prices.
