Tom, Obvious there is a lot of interest in your deck lid. So have you come up with a price for the deck lid ? Bruce |

Thanks for the positive comments. I still have a few details to work out and as far as the pricing I am hoping to keep it under $2000.00 but it will take some time to work out the details. I will keep you informed. |

Another top notch product from Tom Mills
I have light set 003 on my car and if there is enough interest I want deck lid 003 also So let's hope Tom gets the orders to start producing this quality product to make using the trunk easier and for those with a hardtop to be able to use it without removing the top or opening with 2 people and hope it doesn't damage the deck lid or top. |

All parts I've added to my car from Tom Mills have been excellent. This modification solves two other problems as well. One is the dents that have formed on the forward portion of my stock lid from taking the top up and down over and over. The other is that the soft top is not likely to pop the entire decklid open if its jarred - a common problem in some older posts. Is this made of fiberglass? Is the weight much different that the stock decklid? |

It is fiberglass. I haven't actually weighed it but in lifting it and carrying it around it seems to be about the same weight. I will weigh them both when I get a chance. This message has been edited by Tom Mills on 11-10-2014 at 04:25 PM |

Update. We have completed the necessary prototype part modifications and we are now making the molds for production parts. Stay tuned for updates as we progress. |

Here is my take on the line comments. The edge of the lid follows the roof line just like it should have been from the factory. Have you ever seen a deck lid that doesn't have a line??? Even the concept car had a line around it's little "doggie door". And is much more noticeable than mine is. How about the lines on the hood and front side panels and doors? I saw it at Larry Bell's in September and it looked and worked fantastic. If i had a hard top it would be a no brainer. Great job Tom. |

Even with a soft top it would be much easier to get in the trunk. This should have been done from factory. |

Tom Mills...you can place me on the "interested" list of potential buyers. This would certainly be GREAT for me as I hardly ever remove my hard top. Tough to be a "convertible" type of guy in Phoenix summers. Hope you decide soon if you will actually produce it. GREAT IDEA!!! |

Update on the deck lid. I am installing the first lid from the modified molds. I should have it painted and complete by the end of next week. |

This is awesome, I love the hardtop look, took it out of the car for one day and put it right back, but having no access to the small trunk is proving a real nag, even so it's small, it helps allot Not sure how I'd get one to the UK yet, but I'm very interested! |

The first production lid has been installed for a while now and it works great and I am installing the second one now and we will see how that goes. |
