Even if it didn't become a salvage title, it would always show a $21500 damage payout. Almost as bad. |

Even if it didn't show up on the title, ethics dictates you disclose it to a buyer and your value is impacted the same. Besides, anytime you can upgrade to purple ......... |

We found out that it is only at 68-70% damage to claim ratio, and have letter stating (from insurance) that it can not be reported against title due to not being a total valued loss. They basically did not want to pay out any more. The body shop who was going to do repairs (does exotic car repair ie Porsche and Ferrari) offered to purchase. We settled claim with insurance and retained car and sold her as is! Thanks everyone for all your thoughts and input! We know it had been several years since we had last been onsite, hopefully we won't be such a stranger! |

quote: I recently looked up the Prowler "Blue Book" values and found the 18K figure as well. It didn't matter if the car had 600 miles on it or 60,000 miles on it, the value was within $200.00 either way. I guess that is the problem with computer generated stuff put together by folks that may know little or nothing about automobiles. |

quote: There is no way you're going to have the same value with a car that has 600 vs. 60,000 miles. I don't care what the book says at this moment or snap shot in time. Recent auctions at Barret Jackson and Mecum had Prowlers selling for higher values than we've seen in years. Milage makes a big difference. |
