Hi all,

Thought I would report back on the WindsuppreSSR. I have been very happy with the product. I arrived in the mail well packed a few weeks ago and with the cold weather keeping me away from the install I finally had a chance this weekend. The process was pretty easy. Everything comes in the package to complete the project in including the needed allen wrenches and drill bit.
As you can see from the photo it looks great. I have not had a chance to try it out yet but once it gets a little warmer I will be out with the top down for sure.
One small down side note. I found that mine did not center perfectly as you can see if you look close at the photo. I adjusted the 6 screws in the plexiglas (and that helped some) but could not move it any more towards the driver side. I needed about an inch or more to be perfect.
I can't express enough though how well this is made and how happy I truly am with the final product.

Two things could be wrong. You either have the unit installed backwards (the word Prowler should be facing toward the rear)or the plastic was installed in the brackets backwards. Take the screws out of the bracket and turn plastic around so the word Prowler faces the rear. Your unit will then be centered and the word Prowler will face the rear. I had the same problem and this took care of it. Good luck and enjoy.

Just bought my Prowler after this order was all done. Any (prefer red logo lighted) windsupressers left or any for sale out there?

Just ordered one of the "extra" Windsuppressers discussed here. Thank you to everyone who supported this project so that some of us new owners could also obtain this great part.

Yes, mine came with the plastic backward in the mounts as well. We reveresed it to make it work so that the Prowler logo was visible from the back of the car (forward). The clearance between the window and the windsuppresser needs to be assessed carefully with the top up to ensure that the plastic doesn't rub against the window. I really like the improved wind-noise and turbulence for the passengers!

Count me as 1!

Anybody else interested? There has to be 14 more of us here. Here is the link showing photos of the unit. http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/016791.html

Its that time again! Been getting several inquiries about making more Prowler Windsuppressor's
Thought it time to revive this thread from last year.
I need to do a production run of at least 15 units to keep the price same as previous.
I have received 5 e-mails recently from interested buyers If I can get 10 more commitments from Prowler owners of this site I can get them made ready for spring. Please add your name to the list feel free to contact me for more information at rhobbel@aol.com

Thanks guys!

If they can do yellow for you, that would look the best in my opinion.

The WindsuppreSSRs are very well made and actually help with the back draft and they look good. You all will be happy with them.

I agree with you Ed. In my opinion this is the best windscreen available to eliminate the draft as much as possible. I also like it because you are able to put the top up with the screen in place.

Two questions. Are the lights hardwired to the car or operated with a battery unit. (I can't tell from the pictures). Also what color lights are available, perhaps it was stated but I missed it. thanks
