Yes it does.

From what I understand, the engines in our cars are technically Hemi's by design. Just because they don't have eight cylinders (in my opinion) doesn't mean they are not.

Here ya go, some additional information about the Hemispherical head design.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hemi_engine

Well the link doesn't seem to be posting but the information is there for those that may be interested.

"HEMI" is a Chrysler Trademark and refers to a series of V8 engines.

But I guess you can put whatever you want on your own car.

Remember,,,, the Chrysler K-cars from the 80's carried "Hemi" badges because of the optional Mitsubishi 2.6L 4-cylinder with "hemi" combustion chambers

The 2.6L Mitsubishi motor with hemispherical heads was an option, and cars bearing this motor were adorned with the badge "2.6 HEMI."

Also,,,,**Chrysler Australia/NZ put a hemispherical-head 265 cu-in. straight-six in many of their Valiant variants (?)

** I couldn't confirm this,,maybe RPL can shed us some light?

The reason:

HEMI is now a registered trademark of Chrysler

The question of who invented the hemispherical combustion chamber..... is a waste of time. Chrysler didn't, and never claimed otherwise.

your right... I never get involved in the $hi! flicking... many people speak up when it starts, figured this time I would post up quick to maybe avoid yet another round of misery.. just trying to be a positive influence, thanks for deleting it, we are all better for it.... I did it for you and Jan, not to hear my own voice....

Thanks Jim! Maybe next time he does it, you could speak up also so that there's no double standard.

I realize you are a friend of his. I also realize that your opinion is well respected. So let's keep it fair and balanced please.
