Well I finally sent another set of wheels out to be chromed. My original silver wheels were chromed in Jan. 1999 by Wheels Concepts in California. I had spoke to the owner for quite some time about what I expected and he assured me I would get what I wanted. When the wheels arrived I was extremely happy with the finish. Most everyone that seen them wanted to know why the factory wheels didn't look as good. My original wheels had a mirror finish on the face and barrel......... Fast forward to 2013 ........ 14 years and one slightly bent wheel and needing new tires decided to get another set of wheels chromed. Reading that others have used FAST FORWARD WHEELS and everyone but one happy with the quality I spoke to ELI about chroming my wheels. Wanting the same QUALITY as the set on my car and getting the barrels polished as the original set on my car. I sent my wheels out after several e mails and a lengthy phone conversation, each time requesting the barrels be polished and the face and barrel get the same finish. Within a few wheels they said they were done and sent pictures of the wheels saying they looked great. As I had told Eli on the phone you cannot take good pictures of chrome due to the reflections of everything around. The pictures they sent looked like typical chrome, lots of reflection. The face on all 4 look good, there is an etched note on the barrel of one of the rear wheels that states POLISH THE BARRELS, each barrel there are defects and the finish gets duller as it gets deeper into the wheel. So if anyone is planning on getting their wheels chrome and expect SHOW CHROME you might want to see how they resolve my issues. I sent an email to them after opening the 1st box about being disappointed with the finish. So far no response after 2 weeks. Opened the others last weekend and found to be disappointed in the other 3 wheels also. This morning an email sent detailing what I was disappointed about, so we will see what they have to say. I feel I sent a set of SILVER PAINTED WHEELS, to get the best possible chrome on a 2nd set of wheels for my car only to have them done far from show chrome and less than my expectation. For those happy with just the face looking good, these have that look. I wanted and requested the barrels look as good, and they are far from that. Far from show chrome ------------------ |

Sorry to hear the wheels done by Fast Forward Wheels did not meet your expectations. I may have to rethink using them myself pending the outcome you get from them. Based on the good results you got from Wheels Concepts is there something I should know about before considering them? |

quote: Not even sure Wheel concepts is still around. After mine were done some others didn't have the same results. One reason I went with Fast forward. You you know chrome and want SHOW CHROME , I'd wait until they answer mine concerns before sending a set to them. ------------------ |

I bought a set off of Dave Veu Casovic in Las Vegas and shipped them to Eli. I was really disappointed in the results. He told me they can't really fix any defects, like the marks left from peeled chrome, etc. It is interesting that the results from a painted set aren't much better. He claimed they couldn't really sand down the barrel to remove the marks. |

quote: I talked to him on the phone for about 30 minutes and he knew I had a painted set and that's also had a set that was mirror finished on the barrel. He claimed his show chrome had the barrels polished. For those that have seen my wheels know that I would be PICKY on another set wanting as good or better than what I had. He did a very poor job on the barrels And my wheels were factory perfect painted wheels, no scarring, marks at all anywhere. I also have pictures front and rear of each wheel with detail of the numbers on each ------------------ |

I have four wheels in my garage I bought from 1buddyc and he shipped them to Fast Forward for me and I requested show quality chrome. I just went and looked at them and they are shiny all over, inside and out.. I asked my wife her opinion and she is a tough sell when things aren't done right and she says they are great also. MeanCat was not happy with his wheels he had done I do know that. |

Eli from Fast Forward Wheels in California did mine. Everyone that got theirs done after mine were not satisfied and a big fight broke out and he quit doing them for us, maybe a good thing. Lol http://www.fastforwardwheels.com This message has been edited by padroo on 10-26-2016 at 09:22 PM |
