If you're talking about what i think you are, buy 'em at any parts store. Some foks call it 'the eight dollar grill', although it may run about twelve nowdays...

That trim usually has a type of glue inside the channel of it.

Just a word of caution though, you need to purchase a license from Ally Cat to use the $12 grill mod.

It's called door edge molding or door edge trim......You'll find it at almost all auto parts stores.

It takes more than you might think, so get plenty and take back what you don't use.

The adhesive is already inside the trim.....be sure to put it on when it is warm or at least warm it with a hair dryer to make it easier to form and adhere well.

You can buy the stuff by the foot at a well stocked auto body & paint store. Or just search the web for "auto molding"
Brandsport sells a big selection of molding...

Yes,,,,that grill modification is 'Patent Registered' and requires a $10 user fee, payable to me, before installation.

You timed it right though,,,,as right now there is a Plano, Texas Special going on > 1/2 price on user fee through the end of this month = $5.00
Jump on it while there is still time, and $ave!

Maybe I am wrong, but you do not want to use the "door edge" trim as it is made to fit around the "lip" of the door. I used the narrow "3M backed" trim for my grille. Don't pay Alley Cat that "Reg. Fee" as J.C. Whitney sold that trim before Alley Cat was born. LOL

A/C inherited the patent for the grill treatment from his great-great-grandpaw, Jebediah Alleycat....

Old Jeb invented it and used it on souped up Wells Fargo coaches....I'm most sure A/C still is entitled to royalties....

You are correct BJ,,,,, great-great-grandpaw, Jebediah Alleycat had the government patent on that mod before Pops was crapping in his diapers.

Ole Pops is pizzing me off with berating references to me and JC Whitney in the same sentence

The POA Roundtable of Governors meets the first week of July every year in Houston.....I may take this matter before the board, requesting Pops be excommunicated or his typing fingers chopped off at the top knuckle.

I used the door edge guard. It is also a good idea to use clear fingernail polish on the fresh cuts to seal it and keep the moisture out.

I still use the curb feelers on my 1950 Ford so wide white walls dont't get bashed (My depth perception, along with other things, have deminised). When the POA Roundtable meets and decide to cut off my fingers, I plea to leave at least the middle right intact for various reasons, not just to pick my nose. LOL Boy, have we gotton off track.

Pops,,,,If the Roundtable decides to chop your fingers off,,I'll relay your request to save one middle finger.....I know you want to get that full enjoyment from using one-ply toilet paper, when your finger goes through it. In lieu of, Andria will have to donate her chopped off middle finger,, to replace your's. The Polar bears at the Houston Zoo, do not like to get shorted when we provide a 'finger fry' for them.

Hold on now guys.....There is NO guilt by association permitted here on POA.

I don't have the $12.00 grill option on my Kat. Mine has REAL Chrome on the grill and I like it that way.

Andria,,,,It may have real chrome, but it has deer guts and intestine residue all over it.. Now not worth $12

And yes, in your case, there is guilt by association.....unless you want your name removed from Pop's will?

Just a point of interest for the newer folks. The round table is square but A/C didn't care for the sound of that.
He thought he was hip back in the day, also.

My lawyer and legal adviser, Al Bendover,,,recommends that I make no claims to speed advancement, although reports show a 6 HP gain when the molding is installed properly.

The product is guaranteed with the ALLEY CAT exclusive, limited warranty: Four years OR First rain, from date of purchase///Pro-rated
