What should we expect to pay if we go to a dealer to have this done? Are there any owners out there that have had this done recently?

I called 3 different Dealerships ( because I wanted a warranty on the job, most local shops don't really offer that, they say it but when it comes to it, they run)

They were all around $1,400 with parts , one was $1,200 ( Water Pump ) was included in the work
Other States could be different

I just replaced t belt, water pump, hoses, all fluids including brake fluid, and my final drive gears $1600.00. To my surprise I seem to have less drive train noises and I do believe it runs better. 34K miles. Of course a lot of that running better is the gears. That made all the difference in the WORLD!

I am content to own a 97 that won't self-destruct if the timing belt snaps. ALL 1999+ Prowlers have interference engines. That's where the extra horsepower came from. The piston stroke is a little longer.

Ten year old tires will kill you. Ten year old timing belts with kill your engine.
