Sorry Marc,,,I'm first, a bass fisherman with baitcaster reels,,,,,,,second, [large] trout with ultra light, mini closed face reel. I foresee my weakness,,,the fly casting would ruin me and elements behind me, lol. I'll concede this one to you,,,,the best flycaster I know! Didn't take you long to find my post,,,I knew that would bring you out from just reading.... |

Time for the story... The Prowlers joined up at Red Robin at 7:30 and even though Russell was sick he showed up to see us off... Poor guy, hope your feeling better buddy... Out late and up early and the weather wasn't looking to good... Gassed up and ready to Cruise with the Prowlers Good turn out as the weather looked questionable, with more cars to be picked up in Colo. Springs Russell shows up with a cold to see us off and he is the only one with his top down... It was Chillin! |

Russell did get to do a short cruise with us on the highway.. Thanks Russell for showing support for our Prowler Club along with all the other Prowler People that made the day a great time... Off we go into the wild blue yonder, to make a stop at the Air Force Academy to pick up any cars from the Springs that wanted to join us for the overcast day... Racin Russell shot by us and exited at the next off ramp. The nice thing about starting at the edge of town is that your down in the Springs in no time... Looked to be a storm movin in as my wife Susan is working on her camera skills... BUMMER! |

Looks Bad! Running the heater to stay worm... We were all hoping that the weather would be nice to see The Royal Gorge... Arrived at the Air Force Academy and it looked like the storm had already been there but nothing coming down on the cars at this time... |

Security check in and then park by the B52 for a photo shoot while waiting on the other cars... Bob and Sandy show from Monument but it looks like the weather had scared any others off... Were are back to Sexy Seven Prowlers again. The same number we started with before Russell had to drop off... onecatnodog This message has been edited by onecatnodog on 09-11-2007 at 11:06 PM |

The further we headed South West the better the weather.. Following behind Capt. Compass aka LawnDog aka Grant sure makes the trip easy as we always end up getting to were we want to go... The weather was getting so nice that Grant pulled over at our 115 turn off to let his top down.. The rest of us weren't quit ready yet... onecatnodog |

The Prowlers were able to out run the storm and Grant wasn't the only one with his top down as the rest of us dropped them after lunch... Someone was caught napping while we were driving down the road... Sure glad it wasn't me... Sleepy Suzzy Sunshine... This message has been edited by onecatnodog on 09-12-2007 at 05:23 PM |

I heard a story a long time ago that Canon City had a choice between the jail or a college and figured the jail would always be full so they opted for it. The jail is built right up against a cliff on about 50 percent of the perimeter so there is no need for a fence on that portion. |

That is true ED... They have also built 2 more on the incoming side of town... That's why we have over 72 different choices of Lic. Plates... Come to Colorado and see it... Here is a picture of it if you can't, from the OUT SIDE of course as we drove right by it... onecatnodog |
