Thanks everyone for all the GREAT comments, I am glad you liked the Plenum. I just love it! Now if only I can get Obi Wan (Scott Curtis) to get it all together and make it happen and to see what it looks like in the car. I will take more pictures when he is finished! Thanks again everyone!!!! Linda

Very COOL (would be nicer in Candy though) - how much downtime does one need to have their plenum prepped and painted like this?

Many folks have purchased an extra plenum. Had it painted and then swapped out. Downtime is just a matter of hours that way. This is how we did it. Otherwise I would guess you would be looking at the very minimum a week. I really doubt it could even be done that fast. It has to be ground down, then sanded smooth, then primer, then painted with base color, then clear coated, then scuffed after the clear is dried, then air brushed, then cleared again, then wet sanded and buffed. It all depends on the person doing the work. Ours took about 4 weeks but I was not pressing anyone to finish in a certain time frame.

Man, Put a polished alum plate mounted on the underside of the hood and talked about wicked.

Damn, that is a fine paint job. Looks like there should be an electrical plug somwhere moving the electrical graphics.

NICE

Better yet.
Go to a car show and tell 'em the car runs on propane. To prove it, open the hood and waa laa. Flames all over the place. You say, 'Wonder where the flames are coming from. Gees I must have a gas leak somewhere'.

Very Nice

Linda, that is beyond awesome. There's a ton of work under that hood. It IS beautiful.

Did I ask you about the Healdsburg addy before? I lived there for a couple of years, and would very much appreciate a PM so I might ask a couple of questions about what's happening.

Thanks, Steve.in.Roanoke
