Brother, if all they did was key your trunk, then consider yourself LUCKY!!! Last summer I returned to my car to discover that some dirty MF(s) had busted out all of my windows, completely keyed the car and even damaged the trailer!!! If I could have caught them in the act then my GUN would have done the talking!!! I had the body shop paint the trunk between the stripes, from side to side. You can't even tell it was done. Forget the whuppin', people like that just need to be SMOKED!!! |

That is really a shame that this happened. I had an 89 Lebaron that was my pride and joy. I took it in to have a new stereo put in and when we came to pick it up, it was parked on the side of the building of the stereo store. As we drove by it, I saw that someone had walked by it and keyed it all the way down the side from the front to the back. Jealousy..........the only reason I can think of, just meaness and jealousy. |

First I would like to think everyone for the there comments, ideas, and support. I have bad news though, it happened again last night or this morning. My thinking the last two weeks was Karma will take care of it but now I think I must be on the wrong side of the Karma thing. Maybe I did something wrong and Karma is after me but to be honest I am a hard working guy with a family and no enemies that I know of. Last weekend my dad came over and we put on 9 coats of scratch X which did a great job of hiding most of the mess. This time they went for the gold and did it deeper than before. I called my insurance guy today and found out that my deductible is a grand so I have a new plan . First I am going to try to cover up the scratches as best as I can with the scratch x. Second since I am a computer network dork I plan on placing multiple hidden wireless web cameras to catch the a-hole who is doing this. If my plan pays off they will be responsible for paying for the new paint job and I will be more than happy to post the video for all to see. At this point I see it as a mission to catch a punk. I can't be to mad because when I took my cat to my usual car wash place to see if they could help out they said it would need to be sanded out. The owner then said that a customer just came in yesterday and his brand new Bentley coupe was keyed all the way around the car on almost every panel and he just bought the car the day before. After a story like that you can't be too mad about having only one panel keyed. Thanks again for the support and letting me vent. Ryan |

sorry to hear that the it has happened again. I'm surprised, isn't Costa Mesa a pretty well-off area? I usually go to the mall or fashion island and have always thought the area is as safe as Pasadena, if not, better. Try the following: 1. Mobile Cam http://www.spytechs.com/spy_cameras/car_camera.htm
Good luck! |

this is a bad news. I had my 1969 Camaro RS bonnet scratch, probably someone who sat on it for a picture or something like that. I keep my Kat park 7 miles from my house as i don't have a cover paerking where i live and keep it in a secure privae parking, not even 100% sae there. I don't understand why people are doing this, what can be the gain?? I would be mad to see someone doing this to any car. |

Ryan, Wow, unbelievable. I feel your pain and anger.. I wonder what the odds are that they are stupid enough to do it a third time (assuming it's the same person)? I sincerely hope you catch him/her/them. -Justyn This message has been edited by SOCRATES on 02-17-2006 at 07:28 AM |
