InTheRed, You can only post 8 pictures in a single post. You must do a second or third follow up post to get more pictures in. Anyway, very nice documentation and illustration! I liked it enough that I will be adding a new Forum in the Tech section for Illustrated Repairs. ------------------ |

i just pulled my drivers side regulator. the tubes are broken at both ends, both middles ( at the motor assembly) and cracked in several places. i am not sure if i am missing pieces either ( i can tell someone worked on this before and it was rigged.
based on the above, is this repairable? on a related note, i can't tell how the backside slide mechanism moves the window and think i may be missing a piece. i see a little black tab with 3 nipples on it in the slot where the cable goes through. Thanks ------------------ |

I would say it was junk as well. Too much missing. I have repaired these several times for other POAers.I own a body shop and we have to repair plastics all the time. I used a 2 part epoxy available at most parts stores who carry bondo, thinners etc. It is made by SEM and it is "4247". I recommend using a strong grease remover to clean the lube from the cable off. Then lightly sand the 2 parts to be joined prior to the 4247 being applied. Cure time is 50 secounds so have everything ready. I have yet to hear of my repair failing. |

texasprowler: Not looking good for the repair. part missing that is the window stop and is shown in these picture... Worst one that I have seen to date and could go down as the first one that I haven't been able to fix that I started the repair... I do have another one that some one else tried and was given to me at the Colorful Colorado event by Alley Cat and it to was broken at the plastic that the window bolts on to that runs in the track... Here is the pictures that I mentioned in the P.M. saying I would post to see if you had the part and it failed after only 10 times in use... Still trying. onecatnodog Window stop from Passenger side and belongs to another Prowler and ships tomorrow.. Yours will be close to this but bent the other way... This is were I am trying to re glue were the first one failed only after 10 times in motion.. This is were your stop should be.. Do you have the stop? One could be made if not but not sure the gluing on the window bracket will hold... onecatnodog |
