Will it make the trunk lid heavier, hence ruining the "hood" shocks on the trailer, too? |

sounds good to me . figure the same thing could be used for the deck lid as well for all the non-trailer folks, however, this would cut into there available trunk space. |

It seems I have seen one that was finished with carpet. If memory serves me correctly it was glued to the underside of the deck lid. They changed all the carpet to match and made a tighter install on the bottom. I have thought about this since I 1st got the car. I'm done showing it, so the trailer is just a utility trailer to get stuff from point A to point B and looking cool doing it. Carpeting on the underside of the deck lid would look nice, but as stated i another post, the extra weight might make the deck lid a HEADACHE waiting to happen. I have seen some painted body color and looked very nice.....the problem with that would be anything that rubbed against it would possibly scratch it. Something that would not weigh as much as carpet that could have a logo on it would be a vinyl or leather panel. I would suggest using snaps to hold it on. The velcro on the early 99's truck lid carpet didn't hold the carpet very well and they had a TSB on this and installed more push pins to hold it on. The later cars have a molded cover panel.
