The Westech stroker performed well this weekend. It drives strong; MPG is reasonable - we went about 200 - 210 miles between fillups with two people and a full trailer driving 75 or so. (we did use over 1/2 tank at the track between six hot laps on the1.8 mile road course and 11 1/4 miles runs in three hours on the drag strip. The car never had an overheating issue even though we ran it in two classes which meant VERY little time between runs. Interesting to me was the fact that even though I could use Autostick and shift manbually above 7000 RPM, the better times were in "D". I guess the shift points in drive keep the car in the heart of the powerband when it shifts!

Marty: OMG - you mean that if the humidity were lower I could have had better times!!! Woohoo - can't wait! Marty, please tell Lindsey what a treat it was to meet her - she's a cool young lady - you should be very proud!! She's a race junkie now and hopefully will make it to all of the races from here on out. Better watch your back - she's gunning for ya now!! Laddie was definitely amazing - he was all over the track doing whatever it took to take care of everything and everyone and never had anything but a smile on his face - he's a very special human being and made it an extremely great day for one little boy and a ton of older little boys and girls in their cars!!!

Jay: I still have the SSS muffler on - haven't changed it since it went on a couple of years ago. Although I think it's a little louder now because I think at the track I've burned the resonators out of it - LOL. I love the sound of the SSS and have been very happy with it and I definitely noticed an increase in hp when I put it on. I have to give credit to the MTD air intake also along with TGF's side panels. I have the MTD lined up perfectly to get air from the side panel and the heat deflector toward the manifold. I can actually put my hand up to the side panel and feel it suck the air in. I would speculate that between these three items it definitely helped me go faster. I also think that when I took the car in for the transmission flush a couple of weeks ago and Neal reset the transmission back to "learn" that it greatly helped the response of the tranny. Prior to the flush it had been driven in stop and go traffic and just tooling around Dallas so of course it would pick up those driving habits. I didn't have any time to drive the car before the event and didn't exactly drive the speed limit on the way there - so the real "learning" that the tranny got was at the track. I would have to say that after the first couple of passes on the track I noticed it was shifting more in line with 1/4 racing and not shifting into 4th until just before I hit the 1/4 mile mark. I'm sure the cooler temps definitely helped, but as Marty said the humidity was pretty high yesterday. T

Thanks, all. I'm just getting back from track today. We surpassed our expectations on the benefit. I should be able to post the finals tomorrow...

We estimate some where around 800 people at the track (kids under 13 were free) and we had lots of kids. Over 200 cars drove on the road course or the Drag strip. The temps were 76 degrees in the afternoon & humidity was 85% during time trials and dropped to around 75% during eliminations. It started to sprinkle when I left track yesterday aouround 4:15.

Here's Tami..

Here's Lindsay ..

Here's Marty ready for round #2..

Here's Landon with his 1st Place Trophy & 2nd place plaque... along with his Dad & Mom...

He made my day when he wanted to ride in my Prowler... I than said what about a run down the drag strip.. His Mom & Dad said OK. So, I went down the return road and got up to the staging lanes. They stopped the time trials and Marion brought him over and we put him in the Prowler... I had him sit on my helmet so he could see out the Prowler... They staged us and off down the track we went... We did a 16 sec pass.. He was smiling and when I get to the time slip shed I gave him the time slip..

He's a terrific kid...

Laddie: Judging by the smiles on that little boy's face you definitely made it a day he won't soon forget!!! T

Laddie... I think Landon needs some SHIMMERS to add to his Prowler Memorabilia, so if you will send me his mailing address, I will get some on the way to him. I have several one of a kind proto-types that I want him to have.

Tami... well, you deserve something too!!! I think it fitting that the SSS Equipped Prowler Record Holder should receive their own exclusive Neon Cat Desk Light commemorating a job well done setting this record!!!

What color (Red, Blue, Purple, Yellow) do you want? Let me know and it will be on the way via UPS tomorrow.

CONGRATULATIONS to everyone and wish I could have been there... but we will see y'all during the Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour when you arrive in Florida.

Sincerely, Jay
