the Mr Clean Auto dry car wash system is soap mixing nozzle type thingy that:
... sprays soapy water,
... then you wash the car with a sponge or rag,
... turn the nozzle on rinse,
... hose off the soap,
... then you turn the nozzle on spray mist where it, dispenses water through a filter, spray the whole car down with the filtered water
... then let dry,

... it drys spotless.... you have to replace the filter after a dozen uses.....works great..

wash it by hand only with constant running water and then blow dry it with a 6.5 hp shop vac with a concentrator nozzle. and i only use this vac for drying my car.

when i'm done there is no dripping or water runs a half hour later from anywhere. No water spots on grill, glass, wheels, A-arms, wheel wells, Bumpers, brakes, rotors, door jams, tail lights, hood or trunk, and from the soft top.

I can wash, dry and drive the car within 45 mins without water spritzing up from every nook and cranny.

Our orange cat has 4600 miles on it and will be three years old next friday, and has only been washed once.
The silver with 33,ooo miles, has been washed less than ten times,,,,,,but I think the 10" of rain in Texas makes up for 100 washes :

I guess I haven't thought about the fact that because of low mileage and/or no rain that people don't wash their cars regularly. Most weeks I wash the Prowler at least once.

Larry...........I wasn't referring to your Orange, I was referring to this.........

Same here! Orange owners think alike. We got a great color to take care of. If I had any other color, then who cares.... let it get dirty.

However, for your Orange, I would make an exception.... just tell me the wheels won't be as dirty as the silver's were. :

How do you get the bugs off the front bumpers if you do not wash the car?

CJ - : Guess I missed that other post, and thought you were referring to our orange,,,,sorry, no harm, no foul.
Think I got the dirty wheel problems under control. I have delegated that job to Lethia to do, and told her I have artificial knee caps and can't get down on the ground to clean them. Don't tell her I made up that story, lol.

Ed - most bug splatter will wipe off with a hot, wet towel.
You need to delegate some of the cleaning chores to Sandy. She doesn't read these posts, does she? :

A/C..........not only do you have artificial knee caps.... you speak with a forked tongue!

I think I'm going to have to teach Lethia how to delegate.

A/C, Sandy does not do cars and I don't do dishes (ever) and I am totally happy with that arrangement since the dishes accumulate daily and I have 3 or 4 months off for now.

Dave, she does not even bug me about it. She did suggest I start using more paper plates but I explained that would ruin the ambience when I eat Apple Pie ala mode. lol. A lot of women have two jobs so she is lucky I only require her to work one job and a lot of overtime. lol.
Did I mention she never reads this stuff?

I have to be careful because Brenda does read this stuff from time to time and she has your cell phone number, but I don't think she would call Sandy.......

Somehow Ed, I don't think you have the power or the authority to forbid Sandy on any matter!

You are right on top of things. She doesn't work in a hospital, she works in a juvenile jail.

I don't turn on the ringer, I have it on vibrate so she never even hears it. I have all the bases covered.
