Great story. You are not Fixumm so I comprehended all of it on the first pass. lol. Sounds like a great trip and a memorable one. Now think about taking a trip like that in the midst of 100 Prowlers, Priceless. The fun is just beginning. Welcome to the POA and try to make some events. You will have a blast. I had a similar experience on my Goldwing in late Oct. 2000 heading for the Grand Canyon event and then again in Texas on the way home, Presidential election day. ------------------ |

Thanks for the comments. It was definitely one of those trips that I won’t forget. Yes Alley Cat, that is probably my biggest regret. I wish I could have posted before the trip and met up with some fellow Prowler owners along the way. Oh well, next time I’ll know better. As for how we kept the car on the road in the snow, it wasn’t easy. This was one serious snowstorm. I would estimate it was at least an inch an hour. Every time the kat would shift gears or I pressed the gas a bit too hard, the rear would fishtail. The autostick was a life saver. Our biggest concern was getting to civilization before the snow got so deep that the car would drag. Bob, thanks for the invite. It sounds like a blast. I’ll try to give you a call tomorrow.
