My day started off gloom,,,not on the road with all the other cats heading to the Smoky event. Lethia and I cleaned the Alley Cat for an afternoon car show to attend. The Alley Cat won first place at the Kiwanis Club Car Show in Tempe, Az today. Class winner award was for best paint/flame color scheme. Well its not going to the big event,,,but, its the next best thing that could happen today. Thank you Lethia for getting those Budniks and A-arms to shine Hey,,,,,,,I cleaned the front fenders, lol. AC knows how to delegate the work load ------------------ 27,000 miles of smiles

Alright AC & Lethia! Kinda down here too. Seems all our friends are gettin' together for some fun and we're home shinin' and wishin' we were there to keep certain characters in line. I won't mention any names but Marty (drives to fast), CJ (leaves her purse under car tires), Bob (thinks diet Pepsi is fireworks and dreams of owning a towing company), Laddie (always Cajun coooooool), Cnote (Christie needs our help to get him out of the bar), Goetz (see Cnote), Ed (early to bed and early to rise...never mind him and Sandy don't need our help) and of course the Canadians with their morning coffee will probably be all alone at 6:00 am. ------------------ |

AC - congrats on the win. Sorry you can't join us - maybe next year in Texas- or where ever? Marc - I woke up this morning (we're at the Archer's house) and went into the garage just to make sure evrything was ready. As much fun as this should be, I can't imagine having more fun than our canyon run last year in the Rockies! I will try really hard to stay at least 3 feet behind anybody in front of me! :D |

AC and Lethia, CONGRATS!!! I heard about the show but Julie and I were busy yesterday trying to find a new house for her Mom, who is moving back to Phoenix from Cottonwood...sorry I missed it. What did you get for it? A trophy or plaque?? Maybe you can take a picture and post it here for all to see. Is that your first award?? Way cool!!! Hope to see you soon, but life has been too busy lately...I gotta do something about that!! ha ha Jim and Julie |

Jim and Julie - this was my second award,,,first was at the Wickenburg Toys 4 Tots Car Show last December. Wish you could have made the event. About the time the awards were being given out,,,,a huge cloud of dust storm was moving in, so I left before getting the plaque. They will get it to me and then I will shoot a picture of it.

Congrats to you too AC! Somebody has to take the awards while the rest are away. lol Mine was my first show since I bought it 2 months ago. And I didn't even have the Real Rod covers on where I took the bumpers off! The dirty Prowler was disgusting. the back of the wheels were black from brake dust, water spots etc. Made mine look that much better! ------------------ |

Congrats AC, I know how ya feel, I have been trying to get some of the 25 Prowler owners together here in Denver for 2 months now and I finally got 6 of them to show up at a Wednesday night cruise at the Original Hamburger Stand out in Lakewood. It was so need to have them all lined up in front, all the people with street rods were pissed off but it was great. Marc showed up later after he did a tune-up and drag at Bandimere's speedway. What a BAD machine. I'm trying to get some Kats together to go up to Estes Park on Sept. 7th. Have 3 going so far will let you know how it turns out, Hope to see you 2 again. |

Thanks for the compliments guys! I was really shocked to win anything. I know JD has won many award with his Silver Bullet It must be the silver color the judges are excited about Phil in Denver - congrats on getting those Co. cats together, even if it is a small number. Marc and Alex had to pull teeth to get the Colorado owners to show up at the 2002 national event held in their own state. It takes time,,,don't give up,,,,some day more will see what they are missing. |
