Where else can you go to get all this technical advise for free!! Very interesting and informative thread. (Wish I was a lot smarter about this stuff so I could enjoy it even more.) Good work, guys, for real. |

Once again Butchee, you make it quite understandable. Careful of the "possers" Ed, their everywhere,,,,lol ------------------ This message has been edited by jd2ksilver on 07-28-2003 at 09:50 AM |

JD, the photos and recount of your trans rebuild were a big help heading into mine and as in the past I try to give back when the subject is right. Given the option I'll settle for pseudo partial posse poser and just get back to wrenching. |

Steel I personally like your post. Maybe I ought to go back to comic school. I am glad you went to Schucks for the parts though. As in glad they could help you. And actually glad I could help you with contacting them. This is a good thread, I think if the price is right it is a good upgrade for all the street racers out there, me included. But I also think Al is right, if there was a way to put a different, more power friendly transmission in, I'd do it. JD, I agree entirely and Al and I have had email contact along the way as we share the same customizing shop, Ida Automotive in Morganville, NJ. I've done plenty of laps around his Prowler on my visits there, we just haven't been there at the same time yet. Though it's being done in a 300M, we are doing our part to advance 3.5L/42LE performance. Back to prepping for the Nats... PS Thanks |

George - good to see you post again. I had emailed Bob L. to ask if the torque convertor would work in the 300M, Intrepid, etc. and he said yes. Hopefully between Prowlers and nthe others cars using the same tranny we can get enough interest to make this happen. Marty |

Once again I am amazed that the Prowler community can not come up with enough customers for an aftermarket company to be able to produce a quality product at a reasonable price. I guess any of us who choose to have something made individually will have a performance advantage over most everyone else. Bob L. - any chance you can get a price for us on a more limited quantity? John - When you stepped up and upgraded your tranny you were nice enough to list everything you did. I know I can always follow your lead and have mine done the same way. Making up for loss of HP to the Rear Wheels is as good engine mods - they both make the cars go faster!! |

I'll post this in the performance section also. This has run for 10 days and 15 people has indicated an interest. I'll share this information with the manufacturer. We'll see if he still has an interest in proceeding or if we wasted a perfectly new converter. |
