The car does have a stripe. It says Prowler on the right rear bumper and it only has 1530 miles. |

is the tub Black or silver? It is my understanding that all the black ties and Woodwards have a black tub. so when the doors are open the black on the tub & the silver on the fender/rockers would show in the opening and the firewall also would be black I was there at the Black Tie event bet didn't get the number off the car my 2 cents |

Alley Cat; I want to thank you, CJ, Wildcat, Todd and Cat Dude for all the input and helpful information pertaining to this vehicle. Paul from Gulf Coast Auto has been wonderful to deal with has worked hard to determine the true history of this Prowler. I will be talking with Paul on Monday in the AM. I would be most interested in any additional information available or questions that should be asked. Again thanks for all your time and efforts. Best regards, Roadster |

CJ; As I stated above, the vehicle has been purchased, so no matter what the history of the vehicle we will love and enjoy it. However, I am still curious as to the history of this particular Prowler. If there is a way for me to contact someone at Chrysler, please let me know. Thanks again for all your assistance. Roadster |

Bruce, After an inspection of the 2000 Black tie this morning I am very happy for you, I think you have an authentic car! Many parts such as the shocks, bumpers, and many parts under the car are correct for the year. After comparing the factory style on my 3 Cars to this one, I think I would bet all the panels are the way they left DC. There is no evidence of this car ever being hit, no overspray, no replacment panels, or repaint. The fit and finish of the trunk hood doors and side panels are better than I have seen. The Black paint areas look as if someone took extra time with them as they are flawless. The hood and Trunk appear not to be repainted, but started life in Black. The Hinges on the back and front show no overspray at all and believe me I looked. The stripe appears to be just like the others I have seen except void of the #. We lifted the carpet up in the trunk area and the panel has always been black. The sticker in the door from DC is one I have not seen on any of my cars, and reinforces its oddity. The firewall seemed to have extra care given to it as you will see when you get her home. I tried to inspect for you all the welds, and they all have the factory paint, check marks. The paper work from DC states clearly the car was used for show purposes and the first buyer had to sign off on this. Once again best of luck, I hope this puts your mind at ease alittle more, Happy Prowlin DQ |

Paul; Its all about integrity and you have a ton. It is not only my transaction, but reading the feed back from your customers on E-Bay says it all. I really enjoyed working with you on this purchase and hope you will sell some Prowlers to POA members in the future. Thanks, Roadster |

Not to challenge the results of the investigation as I would take as truth anything said by the people who responded here. CJ always seem to have the best line of information!! One thing interesting in this post is the fact that this car was noted as a Chrysler. It was noted that the bumper only said Prowler a good indication that it was a Chrysler. But..... the VIN # shows it as a Plymouth. The sequencing of the VIN's with the other silvers seemed to confirm this. Further, I thought they did not convert from Plymouth to Chrysler until the middle of the 2001 model year?? So why call it a Chrysler?? Who Knows. It truly is an unusual car. Congratulations on a great find and welcome aboard! ------------------ |

KLKschwarz; Paul rechecked the bumpers and confirmed that the left reads Plymouth and right Prowler. I have not seen any of the paper work on the vehicle, however, Mike (a POA member) look it over and confirmed that it reflects Chrysler not Plymouth. When I have the time I would like to pursue this matter. |

That is why it needed to come back to the top. A lot of newer people the past few months or else the lurkers are starting to take part. Either way, it makes it a better site. |
