I like the black wheels as they are just so unique for the Prowler. I guess with just silver wheels to start you could have done anything with them.....Had you thought of body colored wheels in the beginning? I think a body colored or chrome trim ring around the black wheel would look cool. Either that or white letter tires for the high school look.... The air cleaner sticking out the hood is just so badass looking! Nice job! |

Looks like 2 different cars with the wheels Black or Chrome. Black really makes a statement saying "I'm Bad" where as the Chrome wheels makes it look more custom. Looks to me you have the best of both worlds. Do you feel "Bad" today or "Cool"? Great job. I myself like the black. |

Wow Dan, those look great! Did alot of playing around with purple wheels, coloring only spokes, front of wheel only etc before deciding on all black. Coating is 20degree (satin), gloss wasn't right for the look I wanted. |

Marc, You could have contacted me to color your wheels in whatever fashion you desired. If I would have known you could have saved some mental thinking brain cells. Bob, THANK YOU!! Yes, you are correct ... The TACH should be on redline. It shall be fixed. Wait till you see this tach on Marc's new banner ... IT'S GOING TO BE COOL!! LAter... |

I not sure if I like the wheels, a lot of black. I probably would have done them in more of an dark anthrasite(Grey)with clear coat more like the M5(BMW) wheels. Car is nasty looking though, and neat. Jim |

John - Norm has started working on my new engine. He has the block, new steel forged piston with lower rings, heavy duty valves with larger exhaust valves, doing some head and intake work, rasing compression, plus some "other" goodies. I wish I could spring for a stroker, but that ain't going to happen! Still trying to decide on a fuel pump upgrade or adding propane for the nitrous shots. Maybe go to a 200 HP shot. How fast do I need him to make it so I can keep up? You gonna get in the 11's? Marty |

quote: Better yet Dan, why don't you just bring your car out and run with me? To see it in person. You know it's funny, something like that would only pop into the minds of the people with the slower cars, looking to mask reality. I'm not going step all over this thread Marc. I really like your car's looks, original. We really need to hookup this summer. Run some roads, quarter miles and otherwise. ------------------ |

Hopefully Marc will be able to stop by my hotel while I am in Denver in a few weeks and I can see his car in person! (HINT) John - whatever your cars does, keep us posted on the time slips. I am hoping to be in low 12's. We'll see. I really just want it to hold together this time. This message has been edited by Marty Usher on 02-24-2003 at 10:05 PM |

Thanks Guys. Seems like an okay way for this thread to go. Just remember JD, hookin' 'em is one thing, landing (beating) 'em is another. Timeslips? Always keep mine, course the altitude adjustment isn't as much fun as heads up but we'll have to change that. Maybe we can even get Dan to come out and play. No rides in each others car, everybody has to keep theirs together, that's the hard part of the competition. Marty 11's? I'll save my go at that 'til the end of summer so the car is only down for the winter. When are you going to be in town? ------------------ |
