The first Chrysler I drove was my Mom's 1951 Windsor Deluxe with "Fluidmatic" transmission. The first Mopar I owned was a 1970 Plymouth Duster - six cylinder with three speed on the floor. It left three & a half years later with the first wife! Man - When she left, I really missed......... the car! I have memories of a City Police wrecker running a red light and broadsiding me in the driver's door in that car. That's when I found out you have get permission from the city to sue it in order to recover damages!

Believe it or not, through 3 generations we have never owned a Chrysler, Plymouth or a Dodge. My Dad was/is a greasehead and former Pro Stock drag racer, but we have always been GM and foreign guys.

That was before the Prowler. The first one I saw I fell in love with. Chrysler is the title sponsor of the PGA event here in Greensboro and they showcased one in April of '97. I kept going by the car again and again. I called my Dad and he also fell in in with it the next day. I told my wife that one day I was gonna have one and my dream came true this past July.

The Prowler has opened my eyes to Chrysler. Now my wife wants a PT GT and we plan on getting her one this fall as a toy to supplement her SUV.. Chrysler sure seems to have turned the corner on design and taking the risks on vechicles that are functional, yet out of the norm for free spirit in all of us.

Well, for the most part...I am a Chevy guy! All I ever owned has been nothing but GM products considering my old man works for GM. However, as of May 22nd of 2002...I decided to change my thoughts a little a bought my very first Chrysler product. This bring, my 2002 new yellow Prowler and I've had no regrets since my purchase! I've been looking for a hot rod for a long time now but was very hesitant on buying an old muscle car. I figured "what the heck? why not have to best of both worlds" and bought me a brand new hot rod with the old hot rod look that I could enjoy with today's technology.

what I have now

I have the Project Dart. It will be Pearl White, dark met. blue interior and convertible top, 340, 4 speed, ac, ps

what it looked like before is the little white car on the right
http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/image_uploads/3cars.jpg

the red coronet was a `69 500 convertible out of California I had for a few weeks

and the Imperial, this was bought new by my mom in October of `80 for $19,700. Very expensive for the time. Had many 1st for the automotive world. It sits in my garage and has 13,800 miles on it now. Dad says it looks better now than when new, but it has not been restored. it is all original except for the conversion of the fuel injection to carb in `88 due to run problems. This was done by Chrysler at no expense to mom & dad since the car only had 9,800 miles and still smelled new.
http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/image_uploads/`81imp.jpg

me after getting home from the mopar nats. in `95 and getting 2nd place

that just leave the Prowler, bought it new in July of `98 for list price. After waiting 2 1/2 years to get the car it came in and I was so excited. Standing next to it I could not believe it was going to be my car the next day. I still get those feelings when I go out to the garage and lok at it sometimes, "THAT IS MY CAR". Since I have had it custom painted it was the `99~00 ISCA International Points Champ in exotic sports & Playing Mantis made a Johnny Lightning in 1:64 scale diecast, I loved the car as it was stock but since so many people have customized their cars I really like to see what everyone has done to personalize their cars

we also have a `95 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 and a 02 PT Dream Cruise and my daughter has a 01 PT Cruiser

My first car was a 1957 Dodge Custom Royal.

I could get four guys in the trunk at drive-ins!

It had push-botton transmission and I traded it when I could no longer get it in reverse!

My first car in 1949 was a 1935 Plymouth 4 door. Cars will still hard to get and I felt lucky to get this one. My first Chrysler was a 1968 Town and Country Wagon; probably the largest car on the market at the time; a 9 passenger tank. My PT Cruiser and my Prowler are now in my stable. Jerry

My first Chrysler was our silver PT Cruiser Touring Edition. 2001 model purchased in March of 2000. We got only the 2nd one the dealership had gotten. We were the first members of the PT Cruiser Club to actually own a PT. We have since been/are members and/or associated with 5 PT clubs and have only been able to locate 2 cars, nationwide that have older VIN numbers. We have greatly modified the car.

Eibach Pro kit springs (2" drop in rear, 1.5" in front), Koni adjustable shocks, upper strut tower suspension brace, APC cold air intake system, Custom exhaust/glasspack, Heddman header, added a sunroof, upgraded to the 16" factory rims, Nitto 455s, flameball shifter, flame graphics on dash and exterior (small accent pieces), 8" subs under each front seat, double armrest, airbag warning cover-ups, Xenon rear spoiler and chrome door sill plates with matching door inserts, etched with flames.

At a racing event last spring, I placed second in class drag racing it on an 1/8 mile track in Denton, TX. I'm sorry I can't remember times.

My second Chrysler was a 1998 Jeep Wrangler Sport. Purchased in June of 2001, I only had it 13 months. In that time, I added a K/C daylighters light bar (chrome), 15" rockcrawler wheels wrapped in 32"x12.5 Mickey Thompson Baja belted tires, 2" suspension lift, 4.56 gears, K&N full cold air intake system, Flowmaster exhaust system, river rock shifter, and sport handles as well as mirror movers to retain rear-view when going doorless.

I traded it in July of 2002 for a 1999 Plymouth Prowler, to which I have done only a Streetglow Gold Series NeoBlue Neon underbody kit and a front suspension brace as well as replacing the runflats with Kumho Ecstra tires.

My wife, if I do the math, got pregnant with twins the same week we got the Prowler. I'm not sure if it was the excitement of owning the most beautiful car ever built or just sheer luck, but this has prompted the purchase of our latest DC product, a 1997 Jeep Cherokee Sport.

Purchased on eBay, with 142,000 miles by a single owner, it seems to run stronger than my Wrangler ever did. I have had it now for only 5 weeks. I have added an Alpine MP3 headunit, 30" Bridgestone all terrain tires, a K&N drop in filter, tinted the windows all around, a steel basket to the existing roof rack, to hold the now oversized spare (and empty out much needed cargo space) and this week, will be adding 2 baby car seats. :-)

I jumped all over the board, as far as manufacturers, with my first 6 cars (Nissan Sentra, Chevy Cavalier, Porsche 924, Ford Probe, Ford Mustang, and Honda Accord). But the 3 DC products I have now, have been the most reliable and most fun cars I have ever owned.

I look forward to years of enjoyment, not only from the cars, but also from the experiences these vehicles have afforded me in the clubs (PT, Jeep and the POA) and lifelong friendships that accompany them.

Tom Heather

My 1st Chrysler product was a 1963 Plymouth Fury. It was a beautiful rust color with a screaming 318.

I graduated to a 1965 Chrysler 300L. I put dual quads on the 413 and I'm lucky to be alive today - sold it before I did something stupid (tooo fast) - as I was prone to do in my younger days.......

Does this count ???

I was 16 when I built this kit. The engine and tranny were from a 1955 DeSoto. As I recall the Hemi was very heavy… all iron. Vehicle was not street legal or safe, but a blast to drive.
