I received a message from my Mopar contact that there are only approximately 25 Prowler trailers left for sale. Once these are sold, there will be no more Prowler trailers produced. If you haven't already ordered one, time is running short! |

CJ, do you know how many trailers were made/sold? Of course we might as well get the color quantity to go with it. I'm asking because we know the Prowler count and it would be nice to add to the Facts & Stats. There were only 301 Candy Red Prowlers making it rare but if only a few trailers were made, it would make it really rare! I don't mean to make any more work for you since you contribute a lot |

quote: Do the trailers come from DC already painted and color coded with a VIN number? I am not sure. If they did and they only made 1-2 red ones, that would make the trailer rare. But, if not and painted after the fact, it would be real easy for someone to buy any trailer (colored or not) and paint it the color of the desired car. My guess would be that the trailer would not make the vehicle significantly worth more then the cost (or appreciation) of the trailer. |

The trailer components actually come from three different vendors, but are assembled at one facility. The trailer tub is already painted. |

quote: Thanks CJ. I thought I had read somewhere that they were sent to you (ie. me) or my dealer and were unpainted. Is there a VIN or something like that denoting color on them? In other words, if I order a Yellow and then sell it to someone 5 years from now that wants a black one and they paint it black, is there an indentification number on it that says it was originally yellow or something like that? Thanks |

Even if the trailers do not have traceability it would seem like 25 years from now the value of the car would be more. I bought my trailer because our summer cottage is 60 miles away. If I drive the Prowler, we only have room for a cup of coffee. Our need is a practical one. CJ, thanks for getting DC to make the last batch! '02 Candy |

I believe I read in DC press release some time ago that only 20% of prowler owners purchased trailers. We recently received good news about a traier ordered. Original ship date was November 03, now April 03. Kat Daddy will soon be packing. Gordon |

Took my PT in for oil change this morning, and found out my trailer was in. The parts guy took to their back room to show me, and low & behold - not 1 trailer, but a total of 5 were there - all different colors. To bad I have to wait another month or so to pick it up (snow w/ more coming). As usual, every time I go to the dealer, I end up ordering more Prowler stuff. FYI - all p/n's for the hood emblems are back in stock. Happy Prowlin' everyone (if you can get your car out)!!! |

With regard to the question about how many trailers made, sold and colors......... it is being researched, but will take some time. As soon as I have some information, I will post it for you. |

YellowFever, Trailers come with an MSO, (Manufacturers Statement of Origin), which has a number similar to the VIN number on a car. I don't know whether this is tied to a specific color of just to the trailer. ROARIN |
