I feel your pain.... We are having issues with our dealer about rips in the top. I hope your "rep" isn't the same female rep we have here in Texas. She is no help. We have another appointment with her on the 22nd to look at our top AGAIN! Our car is a 2001 w/ less than 1500 miles. The top has only been put down less than a dozen times and now we have 2 holes it in. I've seen lots of other posts about top damage. Sounds to me like the Prowler has top issues. Don't get me wrong... we love our Prowler, but for the money we paid... the warranty should cover EVERYTHING!!!!!!

Having the mechanics eat lunch in your car is wishful thinking, they probably took it to lunch. We had our 99' in for it's last service before the end of our warrantee period and got a call from a friend of ours wanting to know if we were eating lunch at a local pizza place. We said no we weren't, why? He said he had just seen our Prowler at the pizza place(pretty hard to miss with flames and personalized plates). I call the service department and asked the service manager where my car is and he tells me it is out in the parking lot at the dealership. So I asked him to go out to the parking lot and put his grimy little hands on it and tell me how the marker lights look. He puts me on hold and then comes back and tells me the lens on one of the marker lights is cracked, would I like him to order me a new one? THERE ARE NO MARKER LIGHTS ON MY CAR!!! There are custom billet radiation emblems were the markers used to be! Just bold face lied about it, and when I called him on it he said he had noticed the marker light being cracked some other time (they never where cracked) and that the mechanics must of been on a test drive to make sure the repairs were correct (they were working on a squeaky window). Service departments suck and to become the manager of a service department all you have to do is be the least productive mechanic that shows up every day!

Fortunately we haven't had any problems with our top tearing, but if Teri's has torn it must be a design flaw, no one and I mean no one takes better care of a car than Teri and her significant other! Although I personally think the top is tearing because it is in the up position way to much!

Terri, you and I should converse. I just left a local dealer in Texas and the service manager said that a number of people have been bringing their prowler's in with ripped tops and the female district rep has been denying claims.
I suspect this is the same rep you are dealing with and the same one that I am about to (she was out and a call was put into her).

My 2002 prowler has only 200 miles on the OD and it's top is riped now in two places too. I am awaiting to hear back from the service manager on what she says.

Perhaps if we collectively put pressure on her, she will do what is right (and what she should have done from the begining).
