I DEMAND A RECOUNT!!!
quote: Pauley: BeWare made the first error: +1,000 addition error (+1,000 continued through Howler Cat) (+3,000 continued through DublinOh) (jkburns, next entry, ignored the 53 so we're off +2,947 at this point.) I gave up at this point, but there are further errors. Suggest we retain Arthur Andersen for an official audit. -GRROWL |

Suggest we skip Arthur Andersen. We might have better luck with my two year old daughter. Although, if you have a particular number in mind, I'm certain they can get you there with a little "tweak". |

After further review, I think it took 85 cars (not owners)to get to Wm Gallagher and we had 1,028,272 miles. I did not add in the 54 mile car but did add in the 2 mile car. Wayne Finch was after the fact. Some of you people need to get out and drive those cars. That averages at about 12,098 MILES and thank God we did not do Kilometers. I am going to bed now. My day is complete. |

Ed, That's pretty close to the 7,600 mile difference I came up with as a "quick-check" (we have a 49 mile difference) and doesn't change William Gallagher as the one who hit the Million mark. We can write off the .004% difference as small change. -GRROWL |

Just out of curiosity, I made an Excel spreadsheet and went through the thread and pulled everyone's mileage. Here are the results: http://www.watsonworld.org/prowler/prowler_miles.htm For those that don't want to click, there are 105 kats with a total of 1,116,690 miles. I did take into account those that gave an accumulative amount without saying how much was on each one (I gave Mike K credit for 14 - is that right?). The * next to PaulR's name is the last time the posted balance was right It took 83 cars to hit 1,000,000! ------------------ |

Cliff, that is correct. I did not add in the mileage for the 53 mile cat but did count it as a car and screwed up one other, somewhere. Of course you cheated, you used the computer and I did it in my head. lol. |
