Well, I feel better now. I am a newbie, and it is hard to get a feel for the kind of people you folks are. I started to get the feeling that my posts were not welcome or something like that. I have been a 2 year member of another board, and I thought I would have had thick skin by now.... I now realize you guys are as insane and as much a smart-*** as me! The difference is I am new here, and I try to show respect. Smart *** newbies don't go over well! That much I know........ Of course we all have to be a little insane to buy such a car in the first place, so I now know I am in the right place! I am 38 and my musical tastes are very varied. I like most evrything..... ED: I would happily play any of the CD's you currently listen to in my Prowler, and thanks for explaining the board vibe that goes on here. |

Guess not. Take a look at the real action is over at: concerning the signature line which, among other things, uses the word boobs (that's spelled B-O-O-B-S). It's actually a rather serious subject and I believe that right has just won. Good going, CJ. -GRROWL |

BT161, Strange, indeed. Your word that was filtered out at least has a legitimate meaning in representing an animal. I thought at least one of my words would have been filtered out since there is no alternate legitimate meaning. Strange. I wonder about the beaver, the industrious little animal that is my school's mascot. Let's see if he survives the filter. Let's also see if smartass (smart-*** ) gets through as one word. -GRROWL |

BT161 - Believe me, just about everyone fits in here! Some of us are loose cannons, some no-nonsense, some can't spell, and some are just here for the informative information to be found. Stay put at the POA, your questions, thoughts, and input are appreciated. BTW - A_S_S is spelled AS$ here,,,,,,,,,I for one, usually keep it toned down to protect the the younger readers This message has been edited by ALLEY CAT on 08-01-2002 at 08:47 AM |

I would not have imagined younger people coming here. I thought kids would be busy with porn sites... Think of the words they are allowed to say on Prime Time Network TV.....That is a decent guide for language, huh? |

BT161, keep in mind that when you start a thread, it does not stay tuned into the original subject very long. You are not old enough to remember playing the "telephone" game or whatever it was called. You passed a message down the line and everyone interpreted it a different way and by the time it got to the last person, it was totally different. Things similar to that happen here. It is no reflection on the person who started the thread. Some of the threads have references to other threads from earlier in the day or week or even further in the past. If you make it to one of the events you will like 98 % of the people you meet. You will see that everyone has a sense of humor, some just a little more warped than others and some are honed a little sharper. Newbies are made to feel welcome since we were all newbies at one time. Some of us spend a lot more time on this site and have been to several events so we actually know a lot of the regulars. They still talk to me in spite of that. What was the question? Never mind, I have to go take my meds. |

Sorry guys & gals but I had to do it. Hey Sue, you wouldn't believe the week I've had. As you know, my phone hasn't been working. So the phone is not "NSYNC" with the DSL so my computer has a "SYSTEM OF A DOWN". Little Timmy was so upset cuz he couldn't vote for his favorite "EMINEM" color. So I took him to football practice. He looked so cute in his nice clean uniform. He was so "DISTURBED" when we left the house he forget his "HELMET" - thank goodness coach had an extra one. Practice started at 3:00, by "311" his kness were "STAIND" by the grass and by the looks of his rear end, he must have sat in a "PUDDLE OF MUDD".
