If you could have you Kat repainted for free, we know that there would be a lot of yellow paint being mixed, don't we! |

Referring to, "CANDY RED IS THE HOTTEST and the COOLEST!!!" reminds me of a story. Wanting to put the ugly incident behind from the last time I told a story (don't look at [URL=http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum2/HTML/000640.html[/URL] here goes: "The [insert politically correct term for a naive, non-urban individual - can't use "redneck". Well, maybe we can if we're talking about red cars and the paint runs]. . . . Let's try again, "The non-urban individual returns from the big city with his new purchase. He proudly shows everyone his new thermos and explains how it "keeps hot drinks hot, and keeps cold drinks cold". Everyone is amazed and someone asks, "what do you have in it now?" -AESOP This message has been edited by GRROWL on 07-31-2002 at 12:38 PM |

I agree with you Virginia CatDude that the poll is unfair, but because they don't have an entry for "none of the above". You must have a red Kat which justifies your complaints about the poll. I also think we yellow Kat owners should get two votes due to the fact they only made 1500 or so yellow ones. What say Butchcee, do you agree with me? I thought so; |

Yellow is yellow. Gold isn't a shade of yellow, it's gold,(and not a pretty gold, either) True, there are two shades of red, Candy Red and regular Prowler Red, but they're sooooooooooo different that,I think, the poll is very fair. JRL |

Think back to the first time you saw the Viper. Stunning wasn't it? There was no better color for that first one than Viper Red. That color played a big part in establishing the Viper image. Many great colors followed and everyone has their favorite but the stun factor of the first one in that bright red will always be remembered. Next they conceived and built the first Prowler hoping to duplicate for Plymouth what the Viper did for Dodge. Do you really think the design team thought, Yellow is THE color for the Prowler. That is by far the best color. So we will make the first one ummm .....lets see.... uh....Purple. Yeah Purple and we'll save the yellow for later. NOT! Purple was the color that established the Prowler identity and the rest are beautiful additions. Purple rules! Anyone buying this BS yet? I'm trying.....LOL ------------------ |

Don't get me wrong, I like purple Prowlers too and,I agree with you, that the "Prowler image" is purple and I wouldn't complain if I owned a purple Kat,but I happen to own a red Kat which I really like, I just happen to love bright yellow. JRL |

quote: Hey JRL - everybody is entitled to their opinion but I think you risk pissing off those POA members that own Gold Kats. When we were at Deer Park Winery last Sunday with a bunch of West Coast kats someone had a Gold there and it definetly looked way better as it sat in the sun than it appears in photos. I think the same goes for the otehr metal flake colors - orange and Candy Red - the sun brings out the color. JMO Happy Prowling

Marty, I've been trying to back out of this and let this thing die, but you brought up an important point that I was thinking about that needs to be explored. In addition to the 66 pairs of colors that should be compared as suggested by Cat Dude, these pairs should actually be done in 3 different lighting conditions - showroom floor, daylight, bright sunlight. For instance, when I first saw the orange on the showroom floor (florescent), I was disappointed and would rate it towards the bottom. When I saw it on the road in bright sunlight, I thought it looked pretty good and would rate it toward the top. I imagine that it would be somewhere in the middle in average daylight. I would think that candy apple would behave the same - disappointing on the showroom floor, but would look really good in bright sunlight. |

Upon further review, I think the problem lies in the fact that most of the owners of RED are very passive and docile, i.e. MeanGene, Prowler Keith, Me, whereas the owners of Yellow are much more outgoing & aggressive personalities. Dave Mills, Wildcat etc. ( Cat Dude, I am really trying to get you a winner here.) |

Again, seriously. If a color only looks good in the sun, doesn't thet say something about that perticular color in general? JRL |
