I just bought a new prowler last night. What are the ends and outs of a Prowler that I should know about? After I saw one on the road I had to have it. any feedback would be great.

Thanks
J

Congradulations on your New Cat. You already have the most important thing going for you. You found Prowler Owners Association

Get ceramic pads for the front

Splash gaurds for the front

remember where the nose is at all times, and trans cool too

Do NOT put you head in front of the seat and release the seat back, causes head injuries

Have fun

Congratulations and welcome! We know you are very intelligent by the choice you made.
Be careful when washing the rear bumpers that you do not slice your knuckles on top of the tail pie. It is very sharp.
Wahtever you do, do not modify the car. It looks perfect just the way it came from the factory. I have had mine for over three years and it is still stock (except for all the mods). lol
Try to make an event with the other Prowlers, you will be glad you did.
ALWAYS tie down your top in the trunk otherwise it vibrates slightly and a hole can get worn in the top by rubbing on the carpet in the trunk.
Visit this site about 6 times a day.
Drive the car. It is useless sitting in the garage. Go to Home Depot a lot, too. That is an old post, so it won't make sense to you but everyone else will be smiling.
Again, welcome and have fun.

You might have a couple of squeaks - in the dash and under the hood. If you notice these, just post your question, and either I or someone else will forward you to some posts that should be helpful...

The dash is not so easy to remove the first time you do it. I've removed mine a few times, so I've got the hang of it.

If you haven't noticed already, you have found probably the most interactive on-line club there is. If you have any problems just post your question and you will have an answer within hours - and many times within minutes. Our club's discussion forum amazes me!!

Congrats on the Cat!!

I'm not sure if I can say welcome or not since I have been an owner only 8 days myself. (Maybe it was me you saw driving around Plano/Allen/McKinney, 400 miles the first 2 days I had it!)

But I can tell you this, this has got to be the best resource for Prowler information on the WWW. I've been to every site I can find, and nothing compares. I have gotten nothing but quick, informative and friendly responses from my posts on this forum and I already know some of the local club members and they are a great group of people.

Laddie Roussel is right about the meets. Second Saturday of every month at Papas BBQ on Northwest Highway. I'll be there in August. See everyone there!

Tom

Welcome to POA - As you can see from the responses, we all enjoy our KATS and have fun talking about them online. This forum is a GREAT resourse. Take advantage of the knowledge of the other owners. Have fun,but watch out for that Dallas bunch. They will have you spending 50% of the price you paid for the car on modifications!

I hope you have been doing smiling exercises.

Happy Prowling

Marty

Hi J: Welcome and congratulations! Hopefully we will be seeing you drive around, we live in Van Alstyne (just north of McKinney by 20 minutes) and are around Plano and McKinney quite a bit. We will be going on a cruise on the 27th so watch for the information in the Events section. Will be alot of fun. Check out going to Cruisin the Coast also - alot of DFW owners will be attending and crusing there together. Let us know if there is anything that you need. Tami and Ken

Congrats and WELCOME. Use the search feature to answer a lot of questions. It's on the top of the discussion page. Click on search and type in a key word to find out stuff. Don't forget to go to the next page of topics when using this feature as the info goes back pretty far.

Welcome JStone and Tom (and Denise)!

I can only echo what others have said: THIS is the best resource out there.

Besides all the great advice listed above, as a relatively new owner myself I should add the following:

DRIVE YOUR CAR!

It's much more fun to be driving than simply admiring it in your garage. Take it out and show it off.

Prowl on,

Kevin

If you get caught in the rain, do not be surprised if a few drops of liquid drops on your shirt sleeve, Chrysler wanted to make sure we were all not made of sugar, and be ready to smile all the time, its fun and it keeps you young!!!
