I will visually detail what your talking about!!

For all you Netscape 4.7 or higher users desiring not to view any images. Do the following;

Step 1: Move your mouse over to your preferences menu.

Example:

Step 2: Disable your "Automatically load images" box.

Example:

For all you Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher users desiring not to view any images. Do the following;

Step 1: Move your mouse over to your Tools/Internet/Advanced Options menu.

Example:

Step 2: Disable your "Show Pictures" box.

Example:

You will then have to clear your cache out and next time you log onto the POA or any other server on the net. You will get this...

NO PICTURE LOADING EXAMPLE.

Here is a suggestion... Put Dan's instructions on FAQ page, and when users complain to you about download times, then refer them to the FAQ page.

I ru a 56k modem and one night it will take forever to download some posts but the next night it will be fast. A lot depends on the Net being slow or fast at that time. There really isn't any big problem here with the banners, though I think some have gotten out of hand but they do comply to the size limit.

I just looked at your site for banners.. Nice work. Looks like you've done just about everyones. I figured I was a graphic artist so I'd better build me a nice banner. I had no idea everyone was having them done professionally. I may add my husband's truck to my banner to make it the full 600 length.

Back on task here - DanP - or anybody - for times when I am traveling and on dial up using Internet Explorer, can I do the same thing, or is this feature available only on Netscape?

Marty - You need to be more specific in your question. Dan Peņa already answered how to "not display" images in Netscape AND Microsoft Explorer.... Go back and read his post earlier in the thread.
