Arrived back in Punta Gorda, FL at 3 PM this afternoon. Made stops in Tulsa OK, Memphis TN, and Albany GA to visit family.

4900 miles of Prowlin'...man, what a ride! We enjoyed meeting new friends and seeing old ones, and the many miles of awesome Colorado scenery. Truly a trip we will never forget.

Thanks to all who helped in any way in planning this great event. We're already looking forward to the next time!

Susie and I are in Iowa City tonight with Jerry and Marsha Scholten and we should be home tomorrow. We stopped at Speedway Motors today and toured the new facility and Bill Smith's new museum, what a place.
We had a great time in Colorado and would also like to thank all those that planned the event, it was a lot of FUN.

We got home safe today at 4:oo pm and the trailer was still behind us.

Special thanks to Don Rosenbach, Denver local who led us through many confusing freeway interchanges to the neat places along our tours. And Don, I'm looking forward to our next go off at Bandimere Raceway.

Tom - Was Bill Smith's new place in Iowa City, or Lincoln, Nebraska? I grew up in Lincoln with Speedway Motors when it was small time, working out of a small building with a one stall garage. They built some fine sprint cars (4X) and were always a leader in dirt track racing design and strong powerplants.

We're still smiling even though we got home Sunday night. The whole trip was just incredible!! It was such a rush to meet old and new friends, and see that many Prowlers, maybe a mile of them in one place!! Some of the sights with all of the cars going in and around the mountains was un-capturable by any camera, but we won't forget all of the sights and memories. The scenery was so vast and beautiful no matter where you looked.

We thank Marc, Alex, CJ, Laddie, and every single person that helped to make such a great weekend possible. It seemed to go along so smoothly, everybody helping each other. A great applaud goes out to all of those that attended as well. The comraderery was wonderful, the compliments from the towns people and park personnel were nice too. We were a very well behaved but fun bunch!!!

Thank You David N!! You did a great job as the event photographer and daily posting on the site. You really kept the site updated with all the great pictures! I personally appreciated this very much because it gave Mike a break and more time to enjoy!

Thanks 2 Ya'll for the memories!!

Just arrived home in Louisville Sunday 6/16 at 4:52 PM.

4131 miles total trip - car went out of 36,000 mile warranty yesterday just outside Lacrosse, Wisconsin.

We spent several days in Summit County, Colorado then up to Wyoming to see Devil's Tower and on to South Dakota and Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and the Badlands. Celebrated Rebecca's birthday yesterday with Bob & Colleen Hack (Hack 1230) in Lake Geneva, WS and Elgin, IL.

Finally home and looking forward to catching up on all the pics and posts.

We had a great time seeing old friends and making new ones.

One of the many highlights in Colorado was last Sunday's "adult" driving tour with Marc leading. That's the way our cars were built to be driven!!

Arrived back home today at about 5:15 pm. Hit rain yesterday in Nebraska but missed the hail which was just ahead of us!! Whew!

I put 1376 miles on the Candy Cat (which now puts me at 3776 since I got it in Feb.) and I loved every one of them!! That was after towing it out and towing it back!!! 2600 miles on the Durango! Man............I love that mountain driving!!!

Dwayne and Carol said to tell everyone hello and that they enjoyed having everyone at their home!! They said that it was the biggest party they've ever had out at the North Forty (and they have a lot of parties). They also said that the Prowler group was a great bunch of people and they thoroughly enjoyed talking with everyone. Dwayne is still bragging to everyone about all the Prowlers he had in his driveway!

Deann and Brian also said to say hello and Deann said she had an absolute blast putting on the picnic lunch for us!! They said the cars were awesome.

Thanks to everyone for making this event the best!!

We got home sometime on that Tuesday evening late. We put 4225 miles on the cat, about half of that was going to and returning from Colo and the other half was inside Colo. We went to Durango and over to Grand Junction and then back east to Aspen and Vail and finally back into Denver. We saw it all. Outstanding trip all the way around. What a lot of fun all of you people are to hang out with. We really enjoyed ourselves. Thanks to the Krehels for this site and for all of you who did all of the work. I have over 24,000 miles on the cat now and have never had a bad time while driving it.
See everyone in the Smoky Mtns. next year. Start planning for it NOW.

Brandie and I got home save and sound. Left Colorado to Las Vegas then to Los Angeles and back to Las Vegas and then back to Florida. That's over 6000 miles on the Kat. Got a ticket on I-10 in Texas. Trooper said I was doing 88 on a 75. My cruise was set on 78 mph, no lie. Well, got the ticket and the Kat was rapped (searched). No surprise, Prowler, Hispanic with a young blond, Florida plates and coming from Las Vegas. I would of search myself with that MO.
Had a great time!!!!

Frank - 6000 miles - that's more than 1/3 of the KAT owners have put on their cars total!! I feel better about only going 4131 miles.

Happy Prowling

Marty
