My Kat is one of the later produced Plymouths. 1st I wanted to know if the Prowler was the last car produced with the Plymouth name. Second, does anyone know what date they changed from the Plymouth to Chrysler? Thanks ------------------ |

My understanding is...The last of the Plymouth Prowlers was in Orange Pearl coat. 669 sold in the US and 20 sold in Canada, and 6 were pilots, totaling 695 built in orange. However, in the 2001 silver only 545 were built. Alex ------------------ |

Frank, The last Plymouth was Orange and resides at the Mike & Judy Krehel Prowler Museum in Texas, (we have to protect the location so Alley Cat does not find it) The Muholland was the 1st of the Chryslers but not sure when that was, but I'm thinking Jan or Feb of 2001 ------------------ |

Mr. Mayes - I know where the museum is located! You don't think I would accept such a big job as Chief Curator (CC), without first viewing my new employment address? ------------------ |

Okay - I took a look through the owner's registry. Mike doesn't have the MDH on his last Plymouth but the earliest MDH codes I could find for the Chrysler's are as follows (all are Mulhollands):
If Mike would be so kind as to post the MDH on his last Plymouth, that would show the gap between the two. Also, maybe CJ or Mike know the exact dates. ------------------ This message has been edited by CWatsonJr on 05-26-2002 at 11:08 PM |

Off the top of my head I thought it was like Jan 20th, 2001. I would bet it is on this site somewhere since it was discussed at that time. Let's all try a search. ------------------ |

Ed you are right, the last plymouths were orange as alex says above. His car is verified and certified the last plymouth. Question for you guys Do you think the last prowler would ever be worth as much as the last prowler. My opinion would be yes because it is the last Plymouth, this was not just a car going away but a brand. Plymouth has been around for what 60 years. If he did a museum he has all the feature pieces of any prowler museum. I have sold alot of prowlers to alot of multiple prowler owners but none of those owners love their cars as much as Mike. ------------------ |

quote: The MDH on our orange (last) Plymouth Prowler is (01)Jan (17)17th (07)7AM I'm not sure what the 344AC means, but will check into it. The MDH on our Candy Red is (02)Feb (14)14th (11)11AM. We were there the morning of the 13th when the plant opened and that's when the body hit the line, but the frame didn't arrive until the morning of the 14th, and the body drop didn't occur until about 9AM on the 14th, so it must be assigned shortly after the body drop on the frame. ------------------ |

If I remember correctly, Neon was actually the last vehicle produced with the Plymouth name before Plymouth was dropped. |

CJ, I never disagree with you about anything DC but I am almost positive they killed off the Neon, before the last Prowler. I have no idea how to verify that but I remember Neon going out first. If I am wrong, I prefer my crow well done. ------------------ |
