Pick up my cat in a couple of weeks, weather permitting. One of the first things that will get done to the cat is mud flaps, after that will be a bra,(THE ONE FOR THE CAR NOT ME) this is were I need your help. Checked the vender list and found speed lingerie, always like different companies to check prices, could someone give other companies that specialize in making this item? Also will be removing front bumpers and relocating turn signals, will need to accommodate for this area, what is your experience when this is done? When I complete this project, I will be selling my black bumpers, what are these worth?, and are their any interested buyers?

I sent you an email regarding pricing. As far as covers for suspension, that is mattter of personal taste. Check out TGF, Real Rod and Tom Mills.

Happy Prowling

I have had both the Mopar Bra and the Speed Lingerie Bra

With the Bumpers removed you may have some issues with some of the attachment points on either brand.

First the Mopar. Installs easily and covers more area. However I did not like the look of the black bra on my Purple Cat. I personally think it looks even worse on a Yellow Cat JMO. I had driven the car in the rain and got the bra wet and never had a problem.

Speed Lingerie. This thing is a real bear to install. The clips and hooks are poorly designed and break easily. Last year on the way to Woodward the bra got wet. I was within 150 miles of Detroit when this happened. By the time I got to Detroit and removed the bra the paint on the hood was fogged. Everything that was suggested to clear it up failed. The moisture gets trapped between the clear coat and the paint.
I had to get my hood repainted ($400) This bra will never be used again on the nose of the Cat. I am getting some of the 3M clear potection installed on various areas of the Cat before traveling to Rocky Mountain event. I also have the SL bra on the trailer and love it. No problems with it and it installs easily. I also have the SL bumper (painted bumpers) and mirror covers and love them as well.

I'd recommend the Mopar bra. Mine's on quite a lot and on the original red, it looks almost like it belongs there. The color seems to go well with the black top, tires, rock shields on rear fenders, etc. I have only one issue....the bra can rub paint off the grille where the mesh rubs against the edges of the slats. That aside, I think it's an abosulute necessity.

For the car?
Kind of like buying a beautiful diamond ring then wearing gloves to protect it. I'm very proud of the little bit of road rash that I have. I had a lot of fun getting it!

For the trailer?
Yes, defintely!

Oh Lord of Wisdom,,,,that hurts I always install the Mopar bra for long cruises out on the road. Larry, you get very little road rash, because you are always out front leading the parade and the rest of us have to avoid the rocks, trash, and flying hats out there

Naumann - check with Tom Mills, I believe his turn signal kit will work with the Mopar bra.

Guys, thanks for writting back on the difference of the bras, what I see is my choices must be only between the Mopar bra, which seems to cover a lot of the car, and speed lingeria, that is a pain to get on and off when you must remove it to dry it. Any other companys out there.

Naumann.

You also have to take the Mopar bra off to dry... It's alright for the bra to get wet & drive with it wet... You just don't want it drying on the car... I've had mine 2 & 1/2 years & the paint is better under the bra than any other part of the Prowler...

The part number for the trailer bra is 82203789.
It sounds like a bra is a neccesary item for trailers, but I was wondering, I did start this tropic, do you have one on your car and do you like it.
