I've scraped mine too, backing out of my driveway. Almost scraped again parking in Estes Park when I asked Alley Cat, who was out of his car "How far can I pull up"? His responce....."Just pull up til' you hear it scrape Alex". So if you guys are around the Alley Cat.....watch it.

Starflame, I had only met Larry about two hours prior. He had a big ol' grin on his face when he told me that. I have come to know Larry's sense of humor. It really was ammusing at the time and I have found myself laughing out loud thinking about his comment. Can't wait for our get together in June. Jus goes to show the greatest people are out there scraping there noses and drivin Prowlers!!!

Larry, Does Ed Monahan have anything like a skid plate in his store that will prevent the scuffing? Or maybe yall' can contact Ed for spray paint. I believe I read in M Trend mag Ed was the source. Alex ------------------ |

Alex, I wish you would have left me out of this thread. It is a Real SORE Spot since I have done it several times, once NOT looking at good looking women. The dealership did it also while it was in their care. I haven't fixed it since I figure I still haven't learned. I may get some spray paint and try that and eventually get the nose repainted professionally. I still wish you wouldn't have brought the subject up. I get aggravated when I think about it. ------------------ |

Alex - Yes, Ed does have a skid plate. Look at his banner again - that red nose is his skid plate, and matches his red cat. While working for the taxpapers of Cincy, it was said his nose skidded into many dark places Sorry Ed - what an opening that was, hehe. |

The first time I scuffed the nose was at 4 am pulling into the hospital as my wife was in labor!! (Yes, we took the prowler) ... I've done it again since, under less dramatic circumstances ... I looked at the part index and say there is no 'spray' yellow, only touch up. Any recommendations? (the scuffs are minor and only visible if you look, but I would like to get rid of them. ) Also, where do you buy the parts? Thanks! kb |

I bet you didn't use the Prowler to take your wife and new baby home!! I couldn't get Black spray either when I scuffed the nose so I got a can of generic gloss black that was suppossed to be for Chrysler black. It turned out OK since the marks were way under the nose. I don't know how close you can get with yellow. Surely someone will have a good suggestion for you.
