We always had cars that were not the norm (no pun intended). After retirement we still do it. We have a nice stable of cars to vouch for this and I hope it carries on in future years. The prowler was always in the back of our minds and I guess the right color was not at hand. So we added a PT Cruiser, and a Honda S2000 to our group of cars but something was still missing. And then it happened, we saw the orange Prowler and got it! I guess people think we're crazy , I care less.

Having it in the garage makes me feel like a kid again, my wife feels the same way, too. Of all the cars we have, the Prowler gets the most looks. It certainly is unique. I believe that the Prowler fits our lifestyle to a 'T', it's a convertible, it's an eyecatcher and it's fun. And the best part is having joined this group, all the people on it are great.

Life is uncertain, drive well, for tomorrow may never come.

I love the car because it is IMPRACTICAL! It is 100% fun. The only car with 3 sides to it and get tons of looks. It is a unique fusion of new technolgy with old styling.

It started the retro revolution in the auto industry! The "orginal retro" is what I call it.

Well said Brian. Actually I was ready to purchase another Corvette in late '99, then I asked myself 'what do I really want'? I wanted a hot rod so bad when I was a teenager and a young adult, but couldn't afford one. Locally, Prowlers were going from $62 to $75K - was not going to do that! Jumped on WWWeb and got to AutoTrader.com and found a cat could be bought new at what I wanted to pay!!! BINGO, my old love affair with hot rods could now take place with air,auto-stick,cruise,tilt,pwindows,CD,etc. and a factory warranty to stand behind it. My father always owned Plymouths, so the thinking was over and the rest is history.

MEMORIES - and the love of hot rods, is why I bought a cat.

Plate says it all: 2K ST. ROD

If you ask 99% of real "car" people which one of the above they're interested in, I bet all of them will pick at least one. The Prowler is all these cars rolled into one!!! But it is true - that unless these people can actually get in and drive one to see how a car really should handle and perform, they're just not going to get it. Speaking of not getting it, I've heard it said many times that Chrysler's idea behind the Prowler was to attract people onto the showfloor where hopefully they would buy that minivan or Breeze or whatever was sitting near the Prowler. If this is true then why the hell didn't they advertize it to get the people onto the showfloor?

Sorta like sex - kinda hard to explain to someone - you have to experience it to really understand.

Norm or Pumpkin, you might change that from a 'T' to an 'A'. The Prowler is modeled after a 1934 Ford Model 'A'.

I first saw a Prowler at a car show in the mid nineties and immediately made a subconcious decision to own one if they ever got past concept stage. I decided to take the plunge the day I found out they were being built in yellow although I had never actually SEEN a yellow one.

Face it, afetr owning this car, other cars seem plain and boring.
Owning a Prowler is an 8.5 on the Stiffy Meter...

It is the only car that you can buy with relative certainty that you will have TONS OF FUN for not a lot of cash, and it moves pretty good and it is easier than washing a Suburban.

I had the same exact feeling when I saw the car the first time as I felt when I met my wife. Could not wait to get in her. THE CAR.
